I knew I should have gone to sleep earilier last night. That rehearsal started at 10:00 am. It finished just before 6:00 pm. Now, it would be fine if I was an actor and actually doing something, but being an ASM and sitting on my a**, taking line notes and being on book while the cast repeats the same scene time and time again? I think I know all the lines in that play. I'm sure I know all the blocking. I couldn't do the accents, but still.
I still have homework to do for my english course. Anyone every read Shell Shaker? I started to read it. I have to read the first 80 pages before this wednesday. It's really not my type of book. I guess I'll read it last minute on the way to my class.
So, back to the play. It's a great play, but it still get annoying having to hear the same lines over and over again. They are pretty funny, but still: it can drive a person crazy.
Ando: What fun.
Ivan: "Fun" is not what it is about! You peoples is having TOO much "fun"! You don't know what is happening around you! You are social cretins!
Ando: Oh, abosolutely! Every time I walk down the boulevards in paris at night and I see the cafes with all those individuals laughing and singing and dancing, I say to myself "Look at the fun those French cretins are having, isn't it just awful!" Now we, Italians, we suffer- a lot!
Ivan: I think I know why you became an actor.
Ando: Really, why?
Ivan: There is nothing else you could have done.
That's it for my random play quoting. Well, a least for the day. I might put some more up later.
