My stepdad is one loony-a** crazy guy. He is, by far, the strangest person with the most weird psychosises I've seen. He began to lock up the room when he's not home - even though my movies are in my parent's room and my mom does ocassionally ask for me to give her phone numbers that are written down her books in her room. Also, if I need medicines (aspirin, pink stuff, et al), the only well-stocked medicine cabinet is in their bathroom, over at their side of their bedroom.
So I asked him nicely to stop locking up their room when he went out. He barked back (aye, BARKED) that I am in no position to ask anything of him, and that if he wants to do it, he can do it. So I told him why the room needs to be open during his absences (there is nothing in their room anyways, besides my DVD collection, that I would care to touch, less even take from there). He snarled back that he was tired that we were always grabbing his stuff ( eek yes indeed), his colognes, his deodorants, his toilet paper, his razors, etc. Of course, I replied that he was pointing the finger at the wrong person (me), since I buy all my stuff personally and use it for myself.
Then I asked him to please tell my younger brother NOT to take or touch his stuff. He said that he didn't want to (in the most petulant way ever you could imagine), and then, just because he was acting so uppity, I told him that in the case of an emergency, I would have to bash the door in if that was the case.
He replied "then you'd better be ready to pay the door" My reply? Easy: "Nope, you better be, you're the one that's locking the door, not me".
Now the man's all shaken up. HE REALLY THINKS I am going to bust down the door at any moment. The guy's a nutcase. I do understand the point that his father, was a mean sonovab- that DID trample people, bust down doors, et al. But come on... me?
I don't know the limits of my strength, yah, but I am no bully. I did bust down a door in my home without much effort, but it was one time I was really pissed off. Maybe that, coupled with the fact of his childhood, he went and thought up a crazy-a** situation in which I would really go Hulk Smash! at home.
*sigh*
At least today's Eberron session was pretty fun. Jeez! That last miniboss was really tough. Had to burn through my potion cache, and am now at half HPs. My buddy Turkut (the kobold rogue/sorcerer), went through all his magic spells trying to blow up the undead monster. The best bet? Get some sleep and regain power back. But the location is not the best, and we can't close down the door on the area, since it continually floods itself and doesn't drain that quickly. Most of the party also had to burn through their healing cache to stay alive. Xendrik really is a dangerous place. Oh well, until next chapter!
