This is what I wrote 2 years ago, after I found out what had happened:

Dear Diary,
I had always asked myself what would happen if I finally witnessed the death of a friend or loved one. Now I know. On this day, September 29, 2004, my brother’s girlfriend and a dear friend to me, Jessica Gelatka was killed in a car accident. She was a smart senior of CHS who had a wonderful future ahead of her. She had a love of animals and wonderful artistic talent. Only now that she is gone, I have realized how cruel I was to her by calling her a “carrot” behind her back. I would call her this and make animals noises while I ate meat to make fun of her becoming a vegetarian. Now I regret all the times I envied her, such as the time she said that she had memorized the periodic table and when she was able to raise fair gold fish and get them to mate. Only one out of four of mine survived. I envied her so much that I made fun of her. I didn’t ever mean the things I said and now I can never tell her and apologize. I must live with this guilt for the rest of my life. Yet, I thank her for opening my eyes and showing me the light. I now realize the tragedy of making fun of people behind there backs. I have been enlightened into being more kind to others and not speaking badly about them to others. Now, I swear to become a vegetarian myself to show my appreciation to Jessica. I only hope that she is peaceful in the heavens and watching over us all to help guide us right. I just wish that she could of lived a while longer.

I hope this shows you all what can happen if you make fun of others, or don't appologize for things you've done. Learn before you have to go through something.
