He laid me on his bed. He sat on a chair watching me. I waited for the pain to go away so I could open my eyes. The pain ebbed away after a few minutes. I opened my eyes and he walked up to me and asked: "How are you feeling?". I felt a rage burn inside me, of hatred and revenge. I felt pain for my dead family. I wanted to weep and scream. He knew what I felt and he said: "I know what you are thinking. As I said before, you will come to understand the reasons of your loss. We did not kill your family". I looked into his eyes and knew then, that he was saying the truth. I asked him who was responsible about my sister's death but he refused to tell me. He walked over a very expensive looking wardrobe and took out some clothes and gave them to me. I could see that he was trying to be kind to me, but at the same time he was rather nervous or uncomfortable. He, then, excused himself and left me there. I was exhausted. I changed into the clothes he gave me. They were black. After that, I decided I would lay down and sleep.
I slept for a few hours and then, suddenly woke up to find myself being watched by the leader. He said: "I believe I haven't properly introduced myself. My name is Byron. I am leader of the Vampire Society in this area. I am a Prince and a warrior. And I also, had to go through the same ritual you just went through".
I didn't know what to say. He came, and took my hand and kissed it. Then he said: "You are certainly a very strong and fascinating individual. You are to start training about the arts of vampiric battle tomorrow. I can see a great potential in you. You will be a great warrior". Then, he led me out of his room and took me to a great lobby. There were dozens of vampires in there. They were there to welcome me, the newcomer. These, I thought as I saw all of the other vampires staring at me, are my people now. Byron must have sensed my thoughts again because he smiled at me and then, with a loud voice he said: "This is our new sister. Welcome her". Everyone cheered. I just stood there and smiled weakly. I was one of them and I knew that.
