This is Vivienne, my 1/3 ABS doll. I bought her off eBay from chamel2015, she was called the Cosette ball jointed doll on that store. I got her VERY cheap from a bid, but even her usual price minus bidding is fantastic. She's a wonderfully sturdy doll and has great posability for how bulky she is. She's the right scale for most American Girl accessories but the clothing does not fit. except for a pair of slippers I had leftover. Her head is way too big for most wigs that fit 1/3 dolls, so you'll have to either invest in a pullip wig (like I did) or try out an American Girl wig, which are sold on eBay.
Her feet are pretty big, but you can buy shoes for her from the same seller that sells her, or try your luck with the numerous offerings on Ebay.. I lucked out and was able to get a second pair of shoes for her that fit perfectly. She stands on her own, as you'll see in the pictures below. 1/3 clothing does fit her perfectly, but some dresses/skirts may come up a tiny bit short. Her eyes are kept in by eye pockets, which are a nightmare to work with in a doll this size, so when I switched her over to glass eyes I cut out the pockets using an exacto knife. Her head is a LITTLE slippery, so be careful when applying a wig.. I have yet to find a wig cap that fits her gnoggin.
All in all, she's the perfect 1/3 for me, since she's nowhere near as heavy as a resin 1/3 would be. Her faceup is simple and cute, though I do plan to redo it when I have experience with doing faceups. If you're wanting to try out the hobby of BJDs, or even just try out the size of a 1/3, I think she's a wonderful starter doll. She's affordable, a lot of fun to pose and really sturdy. She is a bit of a challenge to customize due to the nature of her head size (wigs) and pockets (eyes) but once you get that figured out, she's a keeper.
Tons of photos, so spoiler! Note: Most of the photos are with the eyes that she came with, the last one is with her new glass eyes.
