For my next doll review, I'd like you introduce you to a little friend of mine.. Meet Momoka!
Momoka has a Gretel27 head with an Obitsu 27cm soft bust body. She is gorgeous! I did not buy her wig from Parabox, I got it from eBay, but her eyes did come from Parabox and they're very nice quality.. Especially considering how tiny they are. Her head mold is very nice and the faceup (from Parabox artists) is simple yet cute. She has eye pockets, so no putty is needed, but you can probably carve those out with an exacto knife if you'd prefer traditional BJD style sockets. Her head is soft and the top pops off easily if you soak it in warm water. Ordering from Parabox was easy but it did take awhile to be shipped out (about a week), that was mainly my fault though since I ordered around Golden Week. x-x Communication with their customer service was great though and their English is verrry good! I did request for eyelashes to be attached, and they're very well secured and even.
I didn't buy her body off Parabox, I bought it from Amazon and attached it manually. The body comes with different neck pegs, and you switch them out depending on which type of head you're attaching to it. The torso/butt is soft, so as such you do need to be a little careful with staining if you use darker colored clothing.. I haven't had that issue yet, but time will tell. ALL of her joints can be popped off, so while that can be a bit annoying at first when you're dressing her, it also can make trickier outfits easier to get on/off once you get used to it. She poses amazingly well! But she has tiny feet.. So standing on her own can be an issue if you don't have a stand. I did buy a stand, and it was a bit of a pain to put together, but once you've done one doing others is a cinch. I haven't bought any additional hands for her yet, but they do sell them on eBay and Amazon.
All in all I'd highly recommend this head and body together, it makes for an adorable and easy to hand first hybrid doll. She's a cutie, and I'm really happy that I chose her! I definitely plan to get more Parabox heads in the future, and may experiment with a different Obitsu body in the future.
Yes her bangs/fringe is a tad uneven, I didn't realize this until AFTER I uploaded the picture to the PC. -_- The wig didn't have fringe so I trimmed it in, looks like I need more practice.
