First day of student orientation has started and there were no incidents that had
occurred during orientation though I was informed by the faculty about the promise
I made a few years ago which I thought they never kept track but to my honesty, I
kept my promise and allowed them to partake this request and with much
excitement and patience from the faculty members, I had a snow blower from
OllinTek come in since I knew they could come up with something that can actually
make real snow and with much planning the faculty "borrowed" the eastern
courtyard and made a "snow theme park" and with a help from me the climate
wouldn't effect the snow and not melt.
And to my curiosity, I wondered how they were able to find the funds to get all those
tents and snow boards, including the stands. I can see why they wanted to borrow
eastern courtyard because of the sheer size, but I didn't complaint seeing that all
the old and new students got some real fun out of it. Perhaps I should let the
faculty come up with events like this to lift the spirits and enthusiasm of everyone
in the campus. Though they would still need permission from me of course.
