Her name was Flor, a beautiful woman of impeccable appeal and charm and an adorable bubbly and seemingly child-like nature. She was loved and adored by all, especially her fans. With her long golden hair and slender body, she would dance to her companion who would play his ukulele. When she danced everything moved in sync; her flowing fair hair would match the movement of her satin sky dress. Flor looked of a beautiful mid-day sky.
When her companion could no longer just idly watch and yearn for her, he decided to take Flor to the beautiful lake that was just before the forest on the edge of town. It was a lovely night full of stars and a spectacular full moon. Everything is going to be perfect, he thought.
Naturally Flor had no idea of what her companion had planned so she held in her curiosity and excitement. He was wearing a soft cotton purple bolero and pants that matched his oddly coloured purple hair; a new outfit he had received for this particular moment. He took Flor to the tiny dock where the villagers would fish and sit and all the while kept her hand in his. He looked at Flor who looked around at the gorgeous scenery. Flor, he said. She met his eyes when he spoke her name and gave him her undivided attention.
Of course the man was nervous, but he did not let that get in the way of his eternal...happiness. The man in purple started to confess his feelings for the lovely Flor. He went on about how graceful and beautiful she was and how he was so lucky to have her by his side. Before he could finish stating his true feelings, Flor stopped him. I do not feel that way about you, ----------, she said.
No one likes rejection, but no one disliked being rejected...more than this man in purple. He showed no truth to his emotion and simply walked away from her. She looked on guiltily and as the man in purple took more steps his rancor grew more fierce. He quickly went back to his house.
Flor stood achingly while still captivated by the moon at the tiny dock; she cannot take her mind off of hurting her best friend. She turned to walk to his house when she suddenly was stopped. There were massive tremours going through her body and a sharp yet dull pain in her chest. She brought her hand to the source of the pain and felt a small hole that was wet and hot. Flor did not hear the loud boom from being shot in the chest. While she was still standing her ex-companion ran up to her and kissed her. Sleep well, my "dear", he whispered.
He lightly pushed her back so she could tumble in the water. The man in purple had no remorse and retreated to his house once more that night.
An enchanting melody could be heard, is it a bell or a voice? All who were curious would follow the alluring tune and to the still yet lovely lake. It was of dark waters this night, the clouds covered the shimmering full moon. Every full and new moon the melody would go on, but when people went in search of the one producing such glory they seldom returned.
-Flor is a mermaid, she feasts on full moons and grants wishes in new.
-Man in Purple comes one night when Flor retreats into the water at new moon and falls back in love with her. (Not knowing it's her.)
-He looks for her.
