Lex M. says
The Sparrow lay asleep on his cot when a hand closed over his mouth. Startling awake, his hidden blade sprang from its sheath, only for an arm to pin it to his side. Rather, a hook. Looking up, his eyes widened. The man who knelt over him smiled a wide smile.
Sam Firewolf says
(Frickin' MSN!)
Lex M. says
((Need my post again?))
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra startled awake at the sound of movement, instantly she was on her feet, a pair of Sai in her hands.
(nope xD)
Lex M. says
"La'a!" Lex shouted immediately as he saw Sierra rise and draw her weapons, the man atop him all but flattening him with his weight, hookblade extended. "Kardes, hayir!" Behlil glanced between him and the woman. "She's a sister in our Order."
"Your Order, abi, not mine."
"Oh for the love of God. I'm so up to here with your Templar bullshit."
Sam Firewolf says
"Templar?!" Sierra's eyes flashed dangerously. "You're an enemy!"
Lex M. says
At the word Templar, Connor appeared, Ylva beside him.
"NO!" Lex flipped the two of them so he was atop Behlil, shielding him with his body. Connor jerked to a stop, tomahawk poised to come down on a moment's twitch. "He's my brother, leave him!"
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra growled and backed off, reluctantly putting one Sai, just one, away. "He's a danger to us Lex! You've taught me that...but..." She glared at Behlil "Fine. I'll back off..." She put the other one away, her guard still up.
"Don't try any thing funny" She hissed at Lex's brother
Lex M. says
The kilij was drawn from its sheath and in an instant the small Assassin had transformed from an injured man to Skandar Tazim, the image of his father. "If any of you thinks to harm my brother, HEADS WILL BE CUT OFF. He is blood of my blood, the son of Yusuf Tazim, the same as I!" Panting, Lex held the weapon parallel with his arm, the sabre glinting faintly in the light from the open tent flap.
Connor looked at him for a long moment, not seeing the boy who'd shared his bed so often on a cold night but someone who might turn upon him. Guarding a Templar... His fist clenched around the haft of the axe as he lowered it to his side, giving the Sparrow a glare that would have made another man's insides turn to water.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra was seething with anger, her mentor was protecting a Templar! She gained a rather nasty look on her face, before she lost her temper, she left the tent, to calm down.
Lex M. says
The Wolf watched as the front the small Assassin had put up cracked, the sword weighing down his arm. It would be easy to shove him aside...one quick blow is all I would need...
"Please." He looked glanced at the shivering man as he looked at him, speaking his tongue. "I'm begging you... He's all I have left of him..."
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra sat outside, gripping her hair in her hands, growling under her breath, this went against everything she'd been trained to do, everything LEX had even taught her "Ugh..."
Lex M. says
"...Why did you not tell me?" Connor closed the distance between them in two strides, lifting him by the shirt. The sword fell from his hands with a dull thump. "Why didn't you tell me?!"
"He couldn't have told you. He didn't know." Behlil stood, looking at the giant on whom he only reached to the shoulder. "And I'd appreciate it if you put my elder brother down."
"Your...what?"
"He is the elder
of the two of us by a year. I know, stunning differences between us." Ylva sized the two men up. Despite their height and eyes, their faces were similar.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra by then, had settled down enough to come in, but there was sitll anger simmering beneath her eyes, despite her best efforts to surpress it.
Lex M. says
Connor lowered Lex to the cot, the Sparrow dropping onto his back and giving a low moan as he did. "Ouch." Behlil looked at Connor before moving toward his brother again. The Native man tensed, barring his way with an arm. Behlil looked at him flatly before removing his belt and cloak, spreading his arms. Connor raised a brow at the hookblade bracer beneath his sleeve.
"I may be a Templar in name,
but my heart is with my father and brother and his, efendim." Kneeling down again, he kissed the smaller man's sweat-beaded brow. "Rest, abi. Enough excitement for one day. Perhaps later we'll have our hash and a drink, hmm?" He kissed his head again. "Sleep."
Sam Firewolf says
"...It's time to change his bandages before he sleeps." Sierra spoke quietly from the tent's entrance. "I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to a possible infection." She was visibly trying to stop herself from lunging at the Templar.
Lex M. says
"Again?" Lex moaned, though he allowed Connor to pull him up to a sit. Ylva began stripping away the bandages as Behlil watched. When he saw the lash marks being brought into sight beneath the unwinding bandages, the man only hissed, "Who is he and where can I find him?"
Sam Firewolf says
"Sorry Lex, it needs done.." Sierra walked over, completely ignoring Behlil, she ruffled her mentor's hair, giving him a warm smile. "It's better to do it now, rather than wake you up in the middle of the night, right?" She replied.
Lex M. says
"I asked you lot a question." Behlil stepped forward, the look on his face making the Mohawk man look at him with fresh eyes. "Who hurt my brother and where can I find him?"
"His name is Charles Lee, but I won't tell you where to find him. His life is mine," said the Wolf. Their eyes met.
"Very well, you may have the kill," said Behlil, relenting, "but save me my pound of flesh from him."
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra frowned "i didn't answer, because I don't know." She replied and gave Lex a gentle hug, then proceeded to apply more of the medicine "Thanks for your help Ylva." She smiled at the woman, and slathered the stuff over the lashes "They're healing nicely already, no sign of infection, though a few more treatments will be need done before you're completely healed." She said to Lex.
Lex M. says
The Sparrow nodded and looked toward his brother. Behlil touched his cheek, giving Sierra a look. Turning, he found his way blocked by Ylva. The woman gave him another once over before stepping aside. Wuffles jammed his nose into his crotch and sniffed deeply, wagging his tail. Sighing, the man made for the floor and curled up to sleep. Lex looked up at Connor. The Native man turned away and
walked from the tent.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra finished bandaging him up, smiling again at him "alright, off to sleep with you." She said to Lex, glaring at Behlil for daring to give her a look "What the hell was that look for?" She demanded
Lex M. says
"Are you this rude to every man who's ridden for miles and only wants to sleep after making sure his flesh and blood still lives?" Behlil sighed as he dragged his head up from the pillow he'd made of his arm.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra crossed her arms "Answer me." She replied "What was the look for? hm? and no, I'm not normally this rude but despite what Lex said, I don't trust you"
Lex M. says
Behlil sat up and gave her a tired stare. "Would you like strangers touching your injured sibling? And despite what Skandar might say to the contrary, I'm starting to believe this may be that time of the month for you." He dropped down onto his side again.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra's eyes narrowed "I am NOT a stranger, he is teaching me." She hissed. "I know and trust him..unlike you..filthy templar.." she turned and left the tent, her eyes blazing.
She stormed past Connor, annoyance radiating off of her.
Lex M. says
Connor rolled his eyes as the tiny woman went storming past him, Ylva shaking her head and standing guard at the door as the tall man went inside. Behlil lay snoring. Lex was propped on his elbows, looking at him. When he saw Connor had noticed him, he looked away, lowering his eyes. Lex gasped as fingers turned his head, lifted his chin. Lips pressed to his own.
"Your brother has your words, but
not so sweet a mouth, Kanatakon:ha."
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra, keeping her rage subdued until she got to some nearby trees, started to take her anger out on the trees, spinning, ducking, twirling, accurately making cuts just enough to scratch the bark, but not do any real damage, her gaze narrowed.
Lex M. says
"You would never betray me?"
"Never."
"Do you swear?"
"I swear on my life, on my brother's life, and on the souls of my mother and father." Connor looked at him as he said this, their eyes locked together.
"I trust you, little bird."
Sam Firewolf says
(by the way, who should the villian be?)
(-has an idea-)
Lex M. says
((owo What's the idea?))
Sam Firewolf says
(-points to the fact Sierra is alone-)
Lex M. says
((The Crows could come after her, I guess?))
Sam Firewolf says
(Si :3)
Sierra continued to carefully beat up the tree, feeling her anger subside.
Lex M. says
An arrow landed with a thunk in the bark beside her head, the saw-tooth-edged, obsidian head winking brightly in the sunlight, the entire arrow black from fletch to head.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra froze and her eyes widened at the arrow, she stepped back, her gaze looking for any sign of who had sent that arrow, crouching a bit. "..Arrowhead..." She plucked it from the bark, examining it, slowly backing towards the tent.
"...This isn't good.." She said quietly, placing the arrow on the ground carefully. "..this is Not good.."
Lex M. says
Another three arrows were shot out at her, landing with a thunk-thunk-thunk on either side of her head and one placed between her arm and side.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra yelped in fright "Oh s**t! NO.." She whimpered a bit "..Natives.."
She pulled her coat off, determined to leave as many clues as possible. She'd be taken down by the arrows before she could even move, so she kept still, gulping.
"I'm no danger to you!" She shouted into the trees.
Lex M. says
"No, you most definitely are not," said a voice.
Sam Firewolf says
She squeaked and jumped, looking around "Who said that?"
Lex M. says
"I did." A figure stood before her dressed in a beaked mask, black feathers covering the rest of him.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra blinked, she'd seen these costumes before "You...you're a Crow.." She said softly, respectfully.
Lex M. says
"Oh, who informed you about us, did he? I would expect nothing less from the one here called Kwarero:ha." The figure moved closer. "Do you know where is? Or maybe the one they call Kanatakon:ha?"
Sam Firewolf says
"No one informed me of them, but I know the black feather look, you remind me of a crow.." She looked confused "I can honestly say I don't know who you're talking about..I can't speak that language, so I don't know what or who they are." She replied, keeping herself calm, despite her fear.
Lex M. says
"I shall rephrase my question." The figure stopped before her. "The Red Owl. Where is he?"
Sam Firewolf says
"I don't know where he is, I don't talk to him." Sierra replied honestly.
(Sierra'll go weeks without really talking to Jammy)
(mostly deals with Kasey and Lex xD)
Lex M. says
"Then do you know where his little bird is hiding?"
Sam Firewolf says
"Sorry, I don't." Sierra replied, she had to lie, to protect Lex.
Lex M. says
"A girl should not lie." A fist connected with the back of Sierra's head then, the Crow turning toward Washington's encampment.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra wavered, and fell, the blow to the head knocking her out cold.
Lex M. says
A Crow scooped Sierra up and tossed her on the back of a horse as the rest flew down to the camp below. The night erupted into chaos, sudden fires springing to life in the tents, horses shrieking, artillery exploding, men being killed. Connor and Ylva bounded out of the tent, the Mohawk man driving his tomahawk into the mask of an oncoming Crow as Ylva picked up a rifle and bayoneted another,
shooting one of his companions through the corpse. Behlil awoke with a start as Skandar struggled to rise, grabbing him and leaping from the tent as it was set ablaze as well, drawing his sword and running one of the dagger-wielders through.
Sam Firewolf says
(-trying to make a post xD, but nothing's sounding right xD-)
Lex M. says
((XD Try it anyway?))
Sam Firewolf says
(Trying xD)
Sierra hung limply off of the back of the horse, she was going to have a massive headache when she woke up, that blow to the head hadn't been gentle. Crows continued to descend from the trees, swarming like the birds they were named after, onto their targets, one in particular, lunged at Behlil and Lex.
Lex M. says
Behlil blocked the strikes from the Crow's dagger, hooking its feathered back with his hookblade and rolling the two of them over behind him. Releasing his hold, he ran, forcing Lex ahead of him. The two jerked back as two Crows landed in front of them. Lex drew his kilij, the sabre cutting through a feathered head, snatching up an arrow as the body crumpled and stabbing the serrated head into the
eyehole of the Crow's mask.
Sam Firewolf says
The first Crow fell, as did the second, the noise and general chaos slowly woke Sierra up, her vision swimming as she groaned in pain "...Oh god...my head..." She whimpered.
She attempted to get the hell off the horse, only to realize with horror she'd been tied on "Oh...oh no..."
Lex M. says
Finding a free horse, the Sparrow swung onto its back, riding hard for a Crow leaping toward Connor. He yelled something, he wasn't sure what, only sure of the fact that his blade severed the falling enemy clean in two.
Wheeling around, the horse screamed. Lex found himself eating mud, only to be grasped by the back of the shirt and hauled up and up and up.
"Kanatakon:ha!" Fear clutched at him as he struggled against the mounted Crow's hold, glimpsing Connor clutching his stomach. The Native man was fighting furiously beside Behlil and Ylva, a desperate look fixed on his face. Not again! He tore the mask off and
sank his teeth into the Crow's face. The horse reared, sending them tumbling off as it bolted away, shots being fired from the Americans who had managed to rouse themselves in time to still be alive.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra snarled a bit, struggling to free herself, "DAMNIT ALL TO HELL!" She swore angrily, blinking as her struggling released a hidden knife and a grin appeared on her face, she groped for it, cursing as it fell to the ground.
"********..." she snarled angrily, then took a deep breath and let it out "HELP!!!!" she shrieked at the very top of her lungs, hating to attract attention when there was a fight going on but she NEEDED to help.
Lex M. says
The Crow that had been left to watch over the prisoner turned toward her, but that was the last thing ever done by the black bird. An arrow sank into its throat, sending him sprawling to the ground. A man dropped from the trees, his robes white, black, and red. He stood tall, very tall, blue eyes looking down at Sierra from beneath the beaked cowl he wore over his head. Cutting the girl's bonds,
the Red Owl turned on his heel and headed down into the camp.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra's eyes widened, those eyes... she leaped nimbly from the back of the horse, grabbed her leather coat, and rushed into the fray, now supremely ticked off, Sierra started fighting, it seemed when she fought, she darted around like a little red bird, attacking with fierce accuracy, and taking her opponent out, she kicked opponents away, a growl rising in her throat as she attacked more of the
ones that had initially shot their arrows at her and knocked her out, the Black Wolf, and Sparrow had taught her well, she gained a few cuts, but ignored it, too ensnared in the heat of the battle to feel the pain, adrenaline rushing through her.
Lex M. says
The Red Owl's robes were soon dyed once more to match his name, the Assassin landing in strikes with dagger, throwing knife, and arrows.
"Kwarero:ha!" The Sparrow leaped over the giant's shoulders, his expression almost gleeful as he twisted to kick two men in the face. Rolling up to his feet, he thrust his hidden blade into a Crow's face, retracting it in order to snap another's head back with a
kick. Another Crow grabbed his leg, throwing him aside. This one aimed an arrow toward him, only to be pinned by one himself, Connor snagging another with his rope dart and hauling him into his fellows.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra slashed, cut, ducked, dodged, snapped necks and twisted weapons into opponent's throats and eyes. She rushed by Lex, Connor and Jameel, leaping high into the sky, and tackling a Crow down, she slashed it's neck, her black leather coat was splattered with blood, as were her pants and shirt, but the crimson blood barely showed, unless you looked at her face, and neck. "DIE!" She shouted,
attacking another, and killing it. She leaped off of her target, panting heavily.
Lex M. says
The Sparrow sagged against Jameel's side, looking up at him, though that made the dizziness worsen. Connor moved to his side as Behlil picked up his weapons from the corpses. Ylva finished off the dying that were trying to wriggle away.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra walked over to Lex and Jameel, looking up at the Red Owl "Thank you, for getting me free." She said quietly, her voice hoarse from shouting.
"Lex...you, you need to rest..you've probably opened the wounds on your back.." She said tiredly "I'll get to them as soon as I've washed myself of this blood."
Lex M. says
"I'm the--I'm the medic," the Sparrow retorted weakly, starting to fall. Connor and Jameel both caught him, the Syrian allowing the Native man to lift his little bird into his arms. Behlil gave Jameel a nod and began to help Ylva with the triage.
Sam Firewolf says
"Not right now you're not." Sierra replied softly "..I'll go to a nearby river, back in a moment." she took off, coming back about 20 minutes later, scrubbed clean, she'd also soaked her hair down, in order to get any blood out of it. "okay, now...who's all hurt?" She asked, knowing Lex was far too weak and tired to care for any possible injuries, she ignored the stinging of the cuts on her skin.
Lex M. says
By the time she returned, the Sparrow had already gotten through most of the injured men, the two tall Assassins flanking him in case his strength flagged too much for him to stand. Behlil aided Ylva in the same process that his brother carried out, albeit with less surety. He was the palace guard.
Sam Firewolf says
"..Damnit Lex!" Sierra frowned. "Stubborn Sparrow.." She muttered.
Lex M. says
"I can hear you over the wonderful chorus of the injured we have here," called Jameel.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra just shook her head, getting the ones Lex still had yet to get to.
Lex M. says
When he came to the last man in line, Lex nodded to him and allowed his legs to buckle. Pulled up by two sets of arms, the men shared his little load between them, bringing him back to one of the few remaining tents to sleep with Wuffles for warmth.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra, by the time she was done, had shucked her leather coat off, having gotten too warm. She put her back to a tree trunk, closing her eyes a bit, she couldn't sleep though, not yet, so she forced her gaze to open, knowing sleep wasn't an option at the moment. She stood, ignoring the swaying landscape before her, gritting her teeth in concentration to keep walking.
Lex M. says
The rest of the Assassins had crowded into the tent and made a small fire for warmth. The Red Owl and Wolf were asleep on either side of the Sparrow, Wuffles sprawled in front of Ylva as Behlil rested his head on the wolfhound's side.
Sam Firewolf says
Sierra headed into the tent, flopping heavily near Ylva and Behlil, staring into the fire's flames.
