The woman's exposed body lay where she had been placed as the sun rose, reached its highest point, and began to descend once more, her shadow describing the time as it moved and lenghtened and shortened. Sweat trickled down her body, the seed dripping from it drying to a sticky mess upon her legs. Though the heat soaked her skin, the salt stinging her wounds, she did not stir. As night came on, goosebumps rose across her form, the soft nubs rising to hard points once more in the breeze. Slowly, as if pushed by the gusts, she slipped down the side of the rock, landing heavily on her stomach, the top half of her body curved over the steep incline of the hill.
Slowly, her weight bore her forward, slipping into a tumbling roll down the incline. As the stone fell away, her body turned, as if to embrace the pile of silt and stone she landed upon. The breath left her in a single great "Oof!" For a time, she lay upon the mound, body pressed into the sand, the only sounds muffled groans as she strove to regain breath enough to rise.
She lifted her head, breasts dragging in the soft sand, twin weights that bore her back to the silt with a dull thump. The thrum of thunder reached her ears as if from far away. Summoning what strength remained in her arms, she pushed herself to her feet. The victory was short-lived. Slowly, she leaned backward, arms first, then head, the rest following as she hit the slope of the pile and slid down into the waiting gulch below, crumpling until she lay flipped onto her stomach.
The woman panted for breath as she lifted her head, rising to her knees, arms hanging at her sides, chin to chest. Her attempts to rise further were in vain, her body betraying her once more, sagging toward the earth. She groaned as her forehead touched the ground, legs beginning to straighten. Her breasts grazed the ground, eliciting another groan. Get up... Despite her struggles, the heavy mounds pressed into the dirt. Get...up... A dull sigh left her as her vision blackened once more, the first droplets of rain beginning to patter down on the battered woman's skin.
