At the top of the volcano, Gabby stood, beside her drifted Sprite!Gabby, her wings flapping slowly and rhythmically to keep her aloft. The girls were not alone, though, beside them stood a young man, the dark hoody over his head obscured the view. Elipsis frowned as she gazed at this. It’s so confusing, trying to tell the humans apart sometimes, but she had a good idea who the dark hooded one was.
Gabby was gazing at a holographic screen projected from her necklace, Elipsis’ Matesprit was talking to the young woman, trying to, more or less, talk the girl down. It didn’t appear to be working, and Elipsis couldn’t blame her. She had everything under control. It wasn’t some random impulse, it was well thought out and to the betterment of the humans’ session. Ellipsis shifted the camera’s view slightly, to gaze down into the caldera of The Forge. At the bottom of the narrow passage sat a green slab of stone, with the Space insignia carved upon it. The girl would god tier if she jumped, she would both be immortal, and the excess power would relight The Forge. Faust was foolish. He worried for nothing, and got Kurat into the problem. If they actually convinced her to rethink this choice, something terrible would happen. They were attempting to alter the timeline, again.
Gabby sighed in exasperation, shaking her head, “SHUT UP, TROLL BOY!” she shouted into the microphone. “I know what I’m doing, gog dammit!” She shook her head, and, turning toward Gage, gave him a smile, ”Hey… could you hold this for me?” With that, she handed him her swords, her stop signs and all her excess items. ”I’ll be right back, promise.” she winked before backing up, and, with a running start, she leapt out over the caldera. Time seemed to slow as she fell, at least for her, she rolled in the air and closed her eyes, before she slammed into the hard stone of her quest bed. Pain shot through her body, and her eyes snapped open. She had survived the fall… how had she survived the fall? Oh GOD! OH GOD!!
Sprite!Gabby gazed down into the volcano, frowning, “There’s no glowing… she must not have died… well, I’ll fix that…” She reached over and took a sword from the pile of weaponry Gage now held, and she removed it from the card it was on. She tossed it easily into the caldera, and watched it fall.
Gabby’s eyes focused on the falling blade and once more, she closed her eyes, letting out a soft gasp as the blade impaled her. The last thing she saw as she closed her eyes, was Sprite!gabby taking flight and disappearing in a flash of light. Then, everything went black.
A bright flash lit the inside of the caldera from below, and then, a rumbling sounded as an explosion blew the lava rock cap from the volcano. The pressure within surged up and out in a massive eruption which threw molten rock and slag into the air, and within that, the glowing form of Gabriella’s body could be seen as it burned away. Lava began crawling it’s way up and out of The Forge, soon even the precipice where Gage stood would be enveloped, as would everything surrounding The Forge, even Gabriella’s home, but she would not need it, not any more.
On Skaia another Volcano was erupting, and from within the flames a glowing figure emerged, surrounded by a glowing sphere of undisturbed space. Long iridescent wings unfurled, and flapped once. The bubble expanded, pushing the flames and debris away and over the edges of the caldera. The figure drifted to an untouched piece of rock, and let it’s feet touch the ground. Soft green boots tapped against the stone, and a long green skirt settled behind them. The bubble popped in a shimmering shower of sparks, and Gabby, unsmiling, gazed down at the destruction wrought by The Forge. She looked up to the sky, and gazed at the clouds. ”No wonder I never woke up. I was never on a moon…” she murmured softly.
