But at the age of 9, tradegy struck. Luka's father died of a fire that had ingulfed the hospital he worked at. He tried to be strong for his brother, but it didn't work. It was simply too much for him to bear. Even so, it was a relief when the letter from Hogwarts arrived. He figured he could make some friends and everything would be better, but this didn't happen. From his looks and grades, Luka was branded a geek. Nobody went near him. Until one day, when some second-years led by Niko Frabray decided to pick on him. And when Luka thought things were never going to get better, a first-year named Elayne Vercosta stood up for him. She helped him up, and led him back to his common room with her friend Margo Nory. He and the girls soon became friends. Now Luka is a sixth-year, and has a crush on one of his best friends, Margo Nory.
