So it's actually ******** happening biggrin After nearly two months of puttering and hemming and hawing and what ifs and fussing with my budget.
Yesterday I caved and bought a ticket to Santa Ana airport (with a rather convenient layover in Denver), thus cementing my June 30 to July 5 visit to Anaheim, California. Just now got the confirmation from the Hilton, our room is good to go. Hot damn.
It's odd though. Initially my intent was just to go to Anime Expo and hopefully meet up with friends. I'm still going to the Gaia panel and social, of course, but this trip is progressively evolving into so much more than that.
Rooming with Twisty and fuben - invariably much drinking, innuendo and debauchery will ensue. Tiger Army (one of my favourite bands ever) seems to have plans to participate in The Hootenanny again this year, which just happens to be taking place on the 1st of July. We extended the trip to engage in 4th of July drinking and incendiary shenanigans. Bringing Clone High to watch, hopefully fube will remember Flesh Gordon. So much to look forward to. Even bought a pretty new dress to wear to dinner!
