OOOWWWWW!!!!! my hands are 100% mutilated!!! i've been working at my moms flower shop. i think it's imaginable how hectic it is during valentines. every year we have to strip and wire 2500 roses!! OUCH!! at that is just the roses....
what is stiripping?
stripping roses is when you are stripping each of the roses of the thorns and extra unneeded leaves. this is very painful as you most likly can imagine.
what is wireing?
when you wire a rose you are sticking this thin, sharp wire into a rose and wrapping it around the rose. we do this just in case a rose breaks it still has some support untill it is replaced. most would think this isn't painful but it is. those wires stick your fingers (namly your thumbs) really hard. some get stuck. last year one wire when through my finger as if i was sewing. after i took it out it was gushes blood for the longest time.
