Rowdy, wild, fiery, and a bit odd. Danica is doing her best to live her life to the fullest while she still can. She is open to those she trusts but can be guarded around those she is unsure of. She is sensitive about her arm, which due to a complex curse backfiring, is consumed with darkness and bares a series of markings that are slowly traveling across her body. And tends to lose her temper when she notices people staring or talking about it behind her back. Despite her will to move on and live life, if given the chance for revenge she will most likely take it. Danica is deathly afraid of water due to almost being drowned by a Serene.

Danica was born into a family of Noir whom's powers had thought to have died out. Generations of her family showed no signs of power until she and her twin brother were born. Her parents, fearful for their family and themselves tried to suppress their children's powers, and they learned that they were not to use their powers in front of their parents or in public. They obeyed as long as their parents were watching, but would use them in secret when they were alone. When they hit their teens Danica's brother, Cedric hit a rebellious stage and revealed his powers to a crowd of peers. It caused an uproar and the town forced their family out of their house and burned their home to the ground. Then exiled Danica's family. They hid away in a secluded area by the, to avoid persecution and harassment. But somehow word of where they were hiding reached the ears of two Serene. The Serene discovered where they were hiding and attempted to kill the family. Danica and her brother attempted to fight back, but since they were not as skilled as the Serene. They grabbed her and her brother and forced them into the lake where they attempted to drown the twins. Danica, desperate to live, attempted a very complex blood curse to rid the Serene before her entire family was dead. But it backfired knocking her and the Serene she had tried to curse unconscious. When she woke up several days later she discovered her backfired curse had set forth a demonic power that was slowly taking over her body. Her arm up to her elbow was completely black and bared blood red markings. Her family looked to an older Noir to break whatever had caused her arm to be as it was. The man told her there was nothing her could do. The demonic power she had used was now consuming her, and once it reached her heart it would consume it two and she would would most likely not live. Despair filled her heart that day. But despair became hate as she put the blame on the Serene that had attacked her family. Her family saw her condition and out of fear that her hate and loss of hope would cause the demon inside her to spread more they did their best to convince her that she might be saved. But their words gave her little hope. But hope did come when word that there was a school that taught those skilled in the dark arts. Danica left home to Nox Arcana in hopes that she could learn how to break her demon.
