I was sitting here thinking of what to do. Me and my friend, Mai (xwhite_angel_101x were talking about animes and stuff and she brought up a good point. Has anyone ever noticed that in almost every volume of every manga series that there is some sort misspelled word or that the characters look a little off sometimes? That's funny. Lol. Anyways, here's Part 2. You don't really have to know a whole lot about Count D or Pet shop of horrors to know what's going on. I"ll give the small background info.
~Soul Ties~
We stared up at the sign that hung overhead. In big fancy letters--almost like a combination of Japanese, Chinese, and English, read, Count D's Pet Shop. Lena and I looked at each other. I could tell that she was nervous and excited. I was too, but I was more scared then nervous. We stood there in silence for several minutes, unaware that someone was behind until a mysteriously calm voice addressed us, "Well, who's going to open the door? I can't allow two lovely potential customers to just stand there like frightened kittens."
"Wha!" I clung to Lena at hearing the voice. The two of us looked behind to find the most lovely person ever. It was a very feminine looking man with short black hair that covered his left eye, accentig his face very well and two different colored eyes. One green and the other purple.
A faint blush rose on my cheeks as I stared at the Asian standing there. Lena was in shock too. Was this man Count D? The man carried himself with a mysterious elegance and beauty as he gave us a polite smile and gently moved us aside as he opened the door. The Shop Keeper looked back at us out of the corner of his eye and beckoned us in. He slipped in quietly, leaving us to have a minute between us.
"Um, Ayala, you sure about buying a pet from a guy like him? He's wearing a dress!" Lena looked at me in quiet ponder.
I gathered my courage to speak and nodded, "A lot of people wear traditional clothes of their nationality..." I said quietly, but Lena wasn't convinced. She crossed her arms, "He's wearing lipstick, has long finger nails, and too pretty to be a normal guy...He looks like a freakin' Vampire!" Lena's eyes narrowed. I was almost always scared of her when she got like this.
"Well, some guys are in touch with their feminine side, Lena--I mean remember Ritsu, Ayame, and Momiji of Fruits Basket? They wore dresses." I began. My friend just shook her head, "This isn't an anime, and we aren't going inside this pet store."
Finally able to speak up, I put on my best pleading face and began my quest of convincing Lena to come with me, "Oh, come on, Lena. You said I could get a pet for myself. You already have two cats!" Seeing the false tears in my eyes, Lena gave in and she let out a small smile.
It wasn't necessarily happy, but it was an improvement over her disapprovement of the Shop Keeper. At long last, she calmed down and nodded, "Ok, but if you don't find anything you like, we aren't going to another pet shop until next month, got it?" She asked.
"Yea!" I felt really happy as I jumped at my best friend, giving her a sisterly hug, 'Oh. thank you-thank you!" Lena laughed, returning my hug. I then reached for the door handle and we entered the Pet Shop.
