Chapter 5 Renewal Pt 1 Defeat Man I have to cross the desert again, lucky I had lots of supplies this time and the suit now had air-conditioning, but it was still as hot as hell. During the big leap of advancements the desert manage to grow into more of an oasis but the sands of the Nile still blew around the new forests. I wanted to see it but it would have to be another day for Lesth Vyon, the Lazy Jealous Priest and Tyrant of Africa, was currently at the Great Pyramids wasting his days doing nothing at all. The trip wouldn’t take long and I figured I would soon be on my way to the next Tyrant I mean come on how easy would it be to fight someone who doesn’t fight back. I had the car, I ‘borrowed’ from Govind, return back to his home once I reach my destination and began running towards the pyramid. Apparently, he was having servants work on a new pyramid in his image and rumors spread that it would be a spot that would be a sacrifice area. I decided to hurry just in case it was Navimle’s machine that Riavcae talked about. Slowly I came across the pyramids and saw him, Lesth, laying down on the chair being fed fruit by servants and had his eyes close and wore white robes with orange tattoos on covering the rest. Next to him was a freaky shaman stick that had black skulls on the top for summoning. Strangely enough even though he is lazy and lives in one of the hottest area in the world, he was as thin as a stick and his skin was so white some say it was bleached or that his bones are his skin. He was very freaky based on the times I met him he seemed to sleep through every meeting and only woke to eat and vote. He also had a pair of blue cat ears that seem to be real since they moved. He is said to hear a pin drop on a pillow two buildings away which is why he can still vote during meetings. It was time to face him even though I have no idea what he did or how he fought, I felt pretty confident in my ability of stealth and assassination. Slowly I crept up on him hiding behind many object so he couldn’t see me. Not a single sound could possibly hear with construction and people talking. Finally all I needed to do was run up to him and cut him apart. I was about to move when I saw his ear twitch. I froze in place. Did he hear me I thought, I stood where I was as he sat up on his couch throne. “You, who have been trying to sneak up on me the past few minute, I want you to come out here now.” He said with a lack of enthusiasm. I walked out and met mask to face. “I take it you are Nobody?” He asked. “Yes and you are Lesth Vyon?” I said in response. “Yes…” He paused a bit then without changing any emotion, “are you here to kill me? For if you are it is quite tiresome to fight you.” “Then just die.” I charged at him with my sword in front of him and pierced his chest. I thought that was too easy, but he began to slump over. Really easy, he really must be that lazy. Then all of a sudden something grabbed me and was choking me as it lifted me in the air. I let go of on e of my blades and it fell out of Lesth to show he had no blood coming out of him nor an entry wound. He stood back up and sighed and said, “Very bothersome.” He moved his hands and I became more constricted and couldn’t move at all. “Well, I bet you are wondering how I am doing this. Well, to answer, the gem Navimle gave me didn’t have any effect on me and instead boosted my magical capabilities. With it I have made it so no physical attacks can harm me as long as this gem is here.” He pointed to the back of his neck. “Now just to ease this I won’t kill you too tiresome.” He lifted his hands and my sword rose in the air while I was now above the Nile. “So die by yourself.” He shot the sword through me and dropped me in the Nile. With the last of my strength I held on to the blade with my life. As I was washed away with the Nile and while I rapidly move above and underwater, he looked at me and said, “May you rest in infinite pain.” Then bowed, turn away and I closed my eyes. ***** I soon was having a dream, it was very peaceful. Did I die? No, if I did then why is there still pain in that area while in this peaceful place. No, even then I can’t die. I refused to. I turned around and walked away from that peaceful place and as the pain slowly increase. I woke up at the shore of the Nile and slowly got up with the blade in me. Thanks to it, I could still walk and move forward, but if I didn’t heal it soon, I would die. I looked around and realize that there was a small village and hobbled over there. People looked at me with terrified looks which made sense. I asked for a doctor and they led me to her. She was a young white hair doctor who was quite attractive and a needle. I flinched, but she put it away and got some bandages. She bandaged me up around the wound quickly after removing the blade. I looked at her name tag to see her name was Dr. T. Eva. After finishing up she told me to lie down which I did. “Thank you Dr. Eva.” I said. “You’re welcome, but you are lucky to be alive let alone get here. How did you?” “Well, Doctor…” I started. “Please call me, Tieria.” She interrupted. “Okay, Tieria. I got here after having a fight with Lesth and being wash down the Nile to here. Wherever here is.” “It is a small village deep in Africa; you were washed at least half way into Africa if what you say is true. I am amazed you are still alive.” I laughed and said, “Been through worst.” “Not really.” She said. I stop laughing and looked at the serious look on her face. “How bad?” “That wound is infected and I can’t cure it with the limited supplies and you need to change the bandages constantly.” She told me. “How long?” “Three days, maybe four if you live through the pain.” “Hmm, is there anything I can do?” She looked away then began thinking I guessed. I looked around and saw many pictures of her with a girl with white hair. She looked liked...!! “Who is that?” I asked. She turned to see me point at a picture. “That’s my younger sister.” She said. “She came here after some jerk broke up with her and left here for a few years. She later took some orphans with her when she went back to the states. I haven’t seen her in years, but I still get pictures from her.” I saw many pictures of all three of them and a picture torn in half only showing a smiling white hair girl. Then I saw a picture of a girl with blue hair and as wavy as water. “Who is that?” I asked. While not looking up and still in thought, “That’s Alandra, the Mystic.” I looked at her and asked, “Maybe she can heal me?” “Hmm, maybe, but the journey takes a few days. You may not make it and she doesn’t heal just anyone.” “I’ll take that chance.” I said. She looked like she was thinking again. “Okay, here you’ll need this map and supplies. Change your bandages every 6 hours if you move.” She looked worried. “There is a spring, when you get there and you must state why you need her help.” “Thank you.” I said. I began to walk away when she grab my hand and said, “Wait, let me come with you.” “What?” “I am not too skilled in healing, but I can help you get there safely and more stable. You won’t make it on your own.” “But…” If she found out who I was, she might kill me. “It isn’t a problem, I can take care of myself and I need to go anyway, my sister asked me to come back to her house.” When I heard that, I knew I had to bring her and it was a good thing I did for the trials ahead of me would be just as bad as the burning sun overhead as we set out for the one who could save me.
