Lithoriums are a strange species of parasite that live within a human-like shell.
These ethereal beings are placed in the womb of a human mother as larvae, by the parental Lithorium spirit. As the child developes around the Larvae, the Larvae molds itself into the Child's body, and simply removes the soul of that Child, taking it over completely, and becoming the new soul of the body. When the body is born, the Larvae within begins to grow with the child, and the parents will love the baby, because of it's impossible beauty, and this will further advance the larvae's growth. As the body ages, it becomes more and more beautiful as the larvae within grows into a pupa. This process can happen over months, or years, but once the body hits the teenaged stage, pubescence, the pupa or Larvae within will stop the body's aging process. The body will not age for several centuries, until the pupa inside either matures fully, or finds the body can no longer handle the changes to it's appearence, at this point, the Lithorium spirit will take on an ethereal form, and remove itself from the body slowly. One the lithorium has successfully removed itself, time catches up quickly to the body it had inhabited, and it will simply cease to exist. At this point the pupa Lithorium will find itself a new host, and implant itself, or the fully Matured Lithorium will find a host for the child it was born with, and place the new larvae into a host, to begin the process anew.
Fully grown Lithoriums can take on any form they choose, but often choose to simply leave the human plain of existance, move to the spirit realms, adn settle there. The main reason Lithoriums do this, is because a fully grown lithorium will suck the emotion from a human being, leaving them an empty husk.
