Last Saturday I almost died. My cousin and I were playing in the six feet at a pool. I'm really small being a Filipino and almost drowned. I have no idea what my cousin did this for but he jumped on my back (he is 8 ), plunging me underwater. He could breathe mounted on my shoulders but I couldn't because I was bobbing, suffocated. I yelled "I can't breathe," when I had the chance but he didn't hear. Every now and then I jumped up for air, but I didn't get enough.
Finally I was completely submerged underwater, my cousin swam off of me and thought I was kidding. I couldn't move, I felt paralyzed from all the water that flew inside my lungs. I couldn't take it, I took one huge breathe under water and my lungs were filled with water and every part of my body ached. I closed my eyes and swam from the depths as fast as I could and grabbed the edge of the pool and started breathing heavily. I started crying. My cousin came up to me and apologized alot of times.
I just sat there and cried, coughing up small bits of water. I finally got up, chills were throughout my body, like how you get out of a pool, but this time I felt the cold rush inside my veins. Do you know the small headache that you get when you sniff the water? This time it exploded, burned throughout my body. I was freezing, I shivered and sat at the hot tub hoping it would take the chill away but it didn't. I told no one in my family, because I didn't want to trouble them or anything.
This is not an exaggeration, it is not a joke. I almost died over the weekend
