Chapter 1
Midnight
~*~*~*~*
A 17 year old girl was sleeping soundly in her dorm at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; her raven hair spread neatly on her pillow, her electric blue eyes shut, her slender body moving slowly up and down as she breathed. She was a 7th year in Slytherin, her name, Rena Raven. Her parent were Death Eaters, although she would not follow in their footsteps not matter what.

Rena blinked a few times to make sure she wasn't still dreaming. She yawned and sat up in her bed. It was the first day of Christmas Break and everyone was buzzing with the excitement of no classes. Rena pulled back her green velvet curtains and placed her feet on the cold stone floor. She shivered. Her roommates were all up and busy getting ready. Pansy was asking Anna if she thought Draco would like her new eye shadow, Catherine, or Cat as everyone called her, was more in a trance, not fully aware if she was awake yet.
"Morning," Rena said to the girls. She went over to her mirror and examined herself. Her raven hair could definitely do with a brush and her electric blue eyes were still dull and sleepy looking. She picked up her brush and was about 5 centimeters from her hair when she heard Anna yell. "For Gods sake, Pansy! SHUT UP! I could care less if Draco likes your new eye shadow!"
Rena couldn't help but snot-laugh at this. Pansy threw her a death glare, but Rena ignored it. Anna stalked out the door and down the stairs. Pansy straightened her skirt and soon followed. Cat, now fully awake smiled and walked over to Rena.
Rena had always been jealous of her best friend, with her golden, and I do mean golden hair, her lovely amber colored eyes and her tan skin. "Hey pally," Sat said sitting next to Rena. Rena was about to respond when she was over come with a giant yawn. Sat laughed "I'll meet you in the common room. I told Blaise I'd meet him this morning," she said. She waved and walked out, her long hair rippling behind her.
Rena was finally alone. She sighed and changed out of her pajamas into jeans and a long sleeved purple shirt. She put her long hair in a braid that ran down her back. She walked out of the door and closed it and turned around. There she came face to face with "What do you want Draco?" Rena asked her hands on her hips.
Rena and Draco's families were long time friends and Rena had spent countless summers at the Malfoy Manor, being bored to tears. Draco stood their looking as handsome as ever, yet Rena never found her self weak kneed around him like so many other girls did. It seemed Draco had made it his goal to have Rena fall for him; either that or he really liked her.
"Oh, I was just wondering whether you?d like to go to Hogsmade with me today? You know it would make Pansy extremely jealous" he said (note to friends: in a Ben. L kind if voice) Rena chuckled "Um, no. I'm going with Cat and James. Maybe I'll see you there." She said. She left him standing there opened mouthed.
~*Draco?s P.O.V (Point of View)*~
She said NO! This had totally hit his ego. Draco Malfoy was thought to be able to get any girl he wanted. This posed a big question: "Had he, Draco Malfoy, lost his charm?" Also, what was it about Rena that made him feel this way? He had a weird feeling whenever he was around her. It had started when their families had gone to the South of France for summer holiday.
~*Flashback*~
"Come on Rena! Scoot a little closer to Draco," Narcissa said in an irritated voice. Rena rolled her eyes, but moved a little closer anyways. Rena and Draco were both 11 and had just received their letters to Hogwarts. "Perfect" Narcissa exclaimed. She pushed the time button on her camera and ran between Lucius and Jake, Rena?s father. "Say Slytherin," Rachael, Rena?s mother yelled. "Slytherin." They all screamed as the camera took their picture.
Rena ran straight back into the ocean. Draco sat down on a towel by his father. Blaine, one of Rena's twin brother and sister was digging in the sand for something; his twin Bella was building a sand castle next to him. Draco turned his attention back to the ocean. Rena was jumping up and down with the waves; her slender, yet athletic body in a bikini was almost too much for him

"Rena over here!" Cat yelled from the couch were she was reclined against Blaise. Rena waved and sat down across from the two. "What took so long?" Cat asked casually. Rena rolled her eyes. "One word: Draco," she said. Suddenly, Pansy was right next to her.
"Was he asking for me?" she asked impatiently. "Um," was all Rena could think of to say, because all Draco wanted to do with Pansy was to make her jealous so she?d fawn all over him more. Pansy gave her a giant humph and ran up the spiral staircase.
"You know he wants you," Blaise said casually as if he'd just said his favorite color was green. Rena almost choked on her own spit. "What?!?!" she exclaimed. She looked at Cat for help but she was to busy admiring her nails to say anything.
"I'm going to go to breakfast," Rena announced. "Rena wait up," she heard a familiar voice yell fro macros the common room. She turned around to see her cousin James. Rena smiled and waited by the portrait hole. Rena and James had been close ever since they were little. James was probably the second most handsome guy in Slytherin right behind Draco, although he didn't flaunt it for the whole world to see. He had long brown hair that he wore in a pony tail, chocolate brown eyes, and was about six feet tall.
They walked down to the Great Hall together and took a seat at the end of the table. Rena took a piece of toast and started nibbling at it. James was being a lot quieter then usual. "What's wrong?" Rena asked putting down her toast and facing James. "Nothing," he said shoving a piece of bacon into his mouth and smiling. Rena threw her toast at him but missed and hit a little first year Gryffindor. "Sorry" Rena said to the frightened boy. James was laughing at her when Anna suddenly appeared next t her and sat down. James grew quiet and took some pumpkin juice.
"Hey," Anna said in an irritated tone. Rena could tell Anna was still mad about earlier with Pansy, but she was wondering why James was so quiet. "Hey Anna," Rena said scooting over a little. James sill wasn't talking. Rena was a little slow, but she eventually saw why. James likes Anna! she thought. Rena smirked and looked at James who seemed to be very interested in his cereal and said. "Don't be rude, say hi"
James looked up, "Oh hi" James said quickly to Anna and then almost sprinted out of the Great hall. "What was that all about?" Anna asked as she watched James leave the hall. "I really have know clue" Rena said. She decided to change the subject. "Hey, you want to go to Hogsmade with me, Cat, and James?" she asked. Anna brightened a little. "Ok, sure," she said. Rena smiled "Ok. Meet you by the oak doors at noon, okay?" She got up and waved to her friend and the walked out of the Great Hall.
