Chapter 3 Part 2 Encounter
The flight to Europe was long and tiring, I fell asleep the moment we hit the Atlantic Ocean.
During that sleep, I had a dream with Hikari in it. It was more of a memory from our childhood.
In it, I was going to school like a normal day with Hikari when some bullies began teasing her for her hair and began attacking her. I quickly spring into action but get horribly beaten myself while Hikari makes her escape.
After dragging my broken body to school and spending part of the day at the nurse’s office, Hikari comes in and deeply apologizes to me and says that she didn’t want to see me hurt like this again and decides to leave. As she was about to exit, I grab her hand. She turns and looks at me and I say to her,
“Please, don’t go, I want you by my side.”
“But each time we are together you get hurt and I don’t want that.” She said as she was about to cry.
I pulled her in close and gave her a hug.
I whispered in her ear. “Then I’ll just get stronger to protect you and me. So we won’t have to be in pain anymore. Just wait a little bit.”
I let her cry on me for a while. The nurse didn’t bother us and took Hikari to her class. After they left, a boy around my age came into the room, dressed and a pair of nice pair of street clothes. He came up to me and asked, “So you want to learn how to fight, do ya?”
I nodded.
“Well, let offer you some help.” he said.
“What do I have to do?” I asked.
“Hmm, good question. How is this when you complete your training you must fight me, if you win, the lessons are free, but lose and you have to give me a thousand, deal?”
He shoved out his hand.
I thought, he seemed like a good guy and there was something in his eye that I knew I could trust him.
“Deal.” I said as I shock his hand.
“Name’s Govind.” Said Govind.
“I’m…”
“Hey, kid, wake up.” said a very distasteful voice.
I woke up and Navimle was staring at me.
“We’re about to land, get your things.”
I grabbed my bags and looked out at the sunrise as we descended into the dark clouds of Europe. Most of the lower country had been turn into factory plants and now, without the fear of global warming, they output 24/7. The only parts that were clear where were the, again as Navimle put it, ‘Purebreds’ stayed and King Choppers.
As we boarded off the airplane, many people began throwing food and garbage at us.
Navimle put up a barrier, but I chose to wait out of it and be horribly covered. I needed a shower anyway.
Finally as we pulled up to a hotel in the higher regions and after my shower, I made a clone and gave him specific instruction to protect Navimle with it’s life till I returned.
I then don on my costume, grab a few bags and dashed off towards the dark clouds and disappeared into the foggy abyss. I soon began traveling around the area. People were either sleeping or begging for food. It was so depressing, no light, no hope I thought I was going to throw up it was so heavy. I gave some little one food and they were overjoyed. I decide to fid a place to sleep but many were filled. As I was about to give up, a scream came from up the street and a young lady about my age was being harassed by some strange looking guards.
I sprung into action. As soon as I got there, I realized why the guards looked so strange. They were robots. This was going to be hard. My blade wasn’t that suited to cut through metal. I blocked an attack that was going to be made for her and my sword went through its hand. Then I remember what Riavcae told me about the gem he gave me, he said it would increase my power. I let out a big smile for now not only could I cut through metal, but through these guards too. I soon slice them up to bits.
Afterwards I helped the girl up and asked if she was okay.
She nodded.
“Well protect yourself.” I said and was about to leave when she grabbed me by the collar and dragged me with her to a dark alley way where we went through many maze like areas till we were in a dark chamber with a single shaft of light filled the area.
She stopped and I caught my breath.
Soon voice were surrounding us and whispers and eyes began to glow everywhere.
Then a familiar voice called out, “Yuuki, who is this that you brought with you?”
The girl, Yuuki apparently replied, “He is a good person who saved my life and was about to leave without asking for anything in exchange. He took out the Robo-Guards and I decide to see if he was worth joining us.”
“Hmm,” said the familiar voice, “We shall see. You, what is your name?”
“I have none, I am just a Nobody now, The Nobody of Twilight.”
Few people laughed, but the voice said, “Very well, you must fight me, if you win you join us. You lose, you die. No weapons, just fist.”
“Very well, I accept your conditions.” I said.
“Good, either you have a strong heart or just and idiot. Prepare yourself, Nobody.”
I did and got ready soon torches were lit and the figure came down and started to walk forward towards the lit area.
Soon, I realized how hard this fight would be, how I might actually die, and how I may just reveal my identity to another person for the person standing in front of me was none other than my teacher and friend, Govind.
