today im going over to blackroseandpoisnedmints house for a par-tay!!
im excited, and fortunatly its not a b-day party, so i dont have to buy a present last-minute...
ive been busy all week with camp, i was-and-still-will-be in charge of the younger kids this summer. its just a day camp for 4 days, and next year i have to go take care of those kids again.
it was really cute what some of the kids said to me before we left for home, they said, "are you gonna be our leader next year too? are you gonna come back to camp?" it was soooo cute.
i wish i didnt let them climb on me though, 'cause i was so tall to them (im pushing 5 feet, 9 inches) that i resembled a jungle gym, and some of our leaders were counting how many kids i could carry at once, and i broke the record of 6, to nine. sweatdrop i used my sence of humor a lot, and they just loved to kling to me. a lot of kids do the same thing each year, they always cling, and ask if im coming back, i guess im just that popular... lol, no. my friend jpfilles was working with me too, she was in charge of getting all the kids to do the activities. (my job was getting them hyper, and giving them a good time by making them laugh.) we had about 16 2nd graders to work with, talk about a hand-full, but i tought them some japanese, got them to march in single-file with the darth vader theme song, and gave them the "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER" sign from star trek... lol, aint i so nerdy? while we were there, we did activities such as have a woman from the animal shelter come and tell all our kids about animals in the wild. we got to see a raccoon, desert fox, ferret (got to pet the ferret), a tortis (pet him too, not turtle, just so you know, no turtles in minnesota...) a hedgehog (got to pet her too, now i want one as a pet), a chinchilla (omg that thing was SOFT!!) and a bearded dragon (we pet him, learned that waving originated from them, and now id like a pet bearded dragon too.)
bottom line, all the activities we did were totally awesome and ftw!!
im definatly going again for an eighth time going...
