I dunno, I`m just practicing my linerature. I`ve been obsessed with Starbucks lately, and I usually think of stuff much like dreams...and I guess this just popped up in my head xD Anyway, here`s the story:
She waited and waited. The lounge was filled with conversation and laughter. The warming lights soothed the cafè and some of the armchairs stood alone waiting to be sat on. She realized that she was already waiting 5 minutes for her simple cup of coffee. "Tonight must be a busy night..." She said softly. She adjusted her scarf and smoothed out her jeans. Outside through the clear windows, the city was filled with snow and pedestrians filled the streets. She heard her name called from the waitress. She walked over to the counter where he coffee stood. "Thank you..." She said. The waitress nodded, "Have a nice night." She walked back to the lounge and sat on one of the empty leather armchairs, adjusted her glasses, and took out a book. Though before she can even read a word, it felt like her coffee was calling for her. She stared at her coffee and began to read. She took a sip from her coffee then she felt a bolt of warm happiness. The cafè`s lounge faded away and turned into a stage with a wide audience. She glanced around and saw a man in a tuxedo with messy hair and an aftershadow waving to her as if it ment she was supposed to play. All that layed around her was a violin. As the spotlight shined down upon her, she picked up the violin and played. Everyone stared at her in awe; some swaying from the beautiful music the strings played. Though she did not know what she was playing, she continued. She played and played, and seemed to not be able to stop. Suddenly, the crowd turn into a graveyard and she was instead sitting on a grave with bones in her hands. She shrieked from the coming by birds. Before she could even take a look around the grim reaper appeared in front of her and shok her violently. o "Hello? Hello? Hello!?" One of the waiters said. She looked around again and it was once again the cafè. "Oh good you`re awake," he said, "You seemed to have dozed off. Are you okay?" "Yes..." She said softly. When she looked at him he looked the same as the man at the concert: messy hair, and an aftershadow. He was young, about in his 20s or so. "Want me to drive you home? It seems to be too cold outside to walk and you don`t look like you can handle being in the cold that much..." He said as he looked at her clothes: a short beige trench coat, rectangular designer glasses, black jeans with holes on the knees, and a pair of worn out converse. "Oh, I`m sorry I forgot. Just so you don`t feel like you`re getting drived home by a stranger my name is Kyle. And you are?" The waiter asked. "Um...My name is Laura..." She said quietly. "Laura, huh? It sounds nice." "Thanks." "So shall we get going?" "Okay..." Laura grabbed her coffee and her book then followed Kyle. "The the boss I`m gonna go take the rest of the night off." He said to the cashier. "Alright." The cashier replied. Laura followed Kyle outside of the door. As they walked out she can hear the bell make a tiny ring. Kyle unlocked the doors of his car and they both entered. It smelt heavily of cologne and mint gum. "So where do you live?" Kyle asked as he backed out of the parking spot. "568 Parker Lane." Laura replied. "You live kinda of close nearby," he said, "Except I`m just about 7 blocks away." Laura didn`t reply and looked out the window. Frost covered the edges and the street lights glowed dimly. Suddenly the car came to a stop. "So...I guess I`ll probably see you later." He said. "Yea..." She said softly. "See you." He said and drove away. Lauren stared, and watched the car lights fade away.
