Guess what? I missed school Thursday because my brother had court and my mom and him went to Sacramento to court but then hey! The Priciple ( he's trying to kick my bro out of Tracy High again ) 'canceled' it and never mentioned it to my mom until she had already been waiting for like an hour.
Sucks right?
But I was okay with it, so then I head back to school on Friday ready to make up any missed work ( I really try hard in summer school, I don't know why, but I currently have a B+ blaugh 89%! whee ) Anyway, turns out they had spent all five hours of Thursday working on a book covering all five sections of Chapter nine, and I now had it for homework over the weekend because it was worth two hundred points and I had no chance of passing the class if I bombed it.
Oh yeah, mid-term on Tuesday and Week-end was supposed to be studying for all 185 questions. Anyway, I am okay with having to write this book with illustrations, graphs, and detailed descriptions + summaries of each chapter, my fault for missing school right? Well, turns out I also have to copy down all vocabulary words-on a separate piece of paper-of chapter nine because that had been homework on Thursday. No Biggie right? Well, then he gave us Four worksheets from the 'section help' workbook teachers get. They were workbook pages asking a whole bunch of detailed questions.
Okay, now would be the time to start panicking right? Yes, I did, kinda. Not really, I am a laid back kinda person, and I knew I would find it in me to finish all that by Monday.
Oh!! But guess what? Destiny throws me one last curve ball! Turns out my friend was hospitalized Friday morning, spent all day in the hospital writhering on her bed riddled with pain and taking morphine and nasea medicine every two hours just to be able to lay quietly. I know her well, and her mother is my mothers (best)friend, so naturally, I know my priorities, so I spend the whole day by her bedside. I go home late and go to sleep tired.
Saturday morning, I wake up late ( 9-ish ) but I am still not worried about my homework, still 24 hours in a day and I have two left right? Well, we get a call at around ten, I haven't even gotten to finish brushing my teeth. ( Really late 9-ish ) My friend is going into surgery, ( immediately, as in right then ) she has a swollen appendix. ( infection on said organ ) If not treated immediately ( i.e. getting appendix removed ) the organ will explode causing a whole bunch of problems. So I go to the hospital to accompany her mother ( accompanied by my mother of course ) and spend the entire day worrying about her surgery. End of the day, all is well and good, Surgery a success, but guess what? I have come to realize that it is late and I am about to go to bed and I haven't even started on my homework.
Now, usually my procrastination has much less serious motives, but really, this was just surreal. Such a perfect excuse to do nothing and have a perfectly usable story to tell on Monday about how I couldn't because I was at my friends bedside all week-end? ( Even though it is true, no matter how sappy )
So, what did I end up doing?
1. Use the excuse, and not do anything? I truly do believe my teacher will let me do it on Monday after I tell him what was up all week-end.
2. Or did I go with my second but infinetly more difficult option and do all the work on Sunday?
Check the time on this thing and tell me if you wanna hear the ending to my tragic week-end. mrgreen
