Ch. 2 Part 3 Double Betrayal
Meanwhile, as I was about to be beheaded by Riavcae, Sophie and the others were heading towards the treasure room. As they slowly walk down the hallway, Jose asked, “Sophie, do you really like that creepy, idiotic man?” Ouch! That was a bit rough.
“Yes, and he isn’t creepy, sure not a genius sometimes, but he still knows what is right and does what he can to the best of his abilities.”
“But why do you help him?”
“Because, I want to, I mean, he isn’t forcing me and I can leave whenever I want, but there is something about him that makes me want to be around him. It makes me feel safe.”
“Hmm, well, still something just doesn’t feel right.”
“Don’t worry, I am sure you are going to be great person like him as well.” She smiled a big one to him. He quickly turned his head for he was bright red.
“Sophie, please don’t read my mind too.”
“Hehehehe.”
“Enough you two, we are here.” Dertan said as he pointed towards a pair of giant solid gold doors.
Both Sophie and Jose pushed open the door which took a while since it was made out of solid gold. Upon entering the giant room, both Sophie and Jose were amazed at the amount of gold, jewels, and cash there was. Te room itself was so huge, it looked like there was another world.
Then, Dertan pointed towards the 2nd highest pairs of mountains of gold and said, “I think that might be the orb.” The orb seemed to be locked up in a high quality security system with the traditional electrical field, bullet=proof glass barrier, high tech heat/motion seeking laser beams and (I don’t understand why villains do this) the computer to shut all of those systems down.
“Okay, let’s go.” Said Sophie.
As they begin there trip to the orb, the lasers began to activate and started firing towards them.
Jose pulled out his guns and began to fire back and froze some of the laser shots, but some hit them, and it burned a little an those areas.
Finally, after about 5 rounds of bullet hell of laser, the group reached the computer and manage to shutdown the lasers with the “Shutdown the lasers button.” (Seriously, why do they put these things?)
“Okay, now I will look for a way to shut off the guard system.” said Jose and began typing at the speed of light.
Halfway into completion, they felt a giant tremor around them and soon another followed only more fierce than the last. Soon a tall, dark figure appeared in the horizon. As it got closer, Sophie and Dertan grabbed their things and got into a battle stance while Jose said, “Stall him. I need 5 minutes.” Soon the figure was seeable. It looked like Keagen earlier except it’s forehead was shaped into more of a crown and was 5x bigger.
“Trespasser, who you are?” said the giant.
“We are Rebels of the Aztec Kingdom.” shouted Sophie. (Also known as R.O.T.A.K.)
“Ahh, you I must crush as enemies of the General‘s king, you are.” He said as he lifted his hand and slammed it down. Sophie and Dertan manage to avoid the attack and Sophie began trying to climb the General but was quickly swept away by his force.
Meanwhile, Jose manage to shutdown the electric field, but The General decided to attack him, but Dertan created a barrier to protect him.
The General decided to go for Sophie then and began trying to stomp her. Sophie was fast, but was slowly losing stamina and began to lose her agility. She lasted a while by latching onto the General, but fell off. Unable to move she was also looking towards Death’s doors as was I, but just in time. Jose manage to shutoff the whole system and grab the orb and shouted, “STOP!” which the General did.
Sophie, heavily breathing, shouted, “ IT WOULD HAVE……BEEN BETTER……IF YOU DID THAT…SOONER.”
“SORRY!.” Jose replied.
Dertan than told Jose to give him the orb while Jose helped Sophie. Jose did so and ran to Sophie, but all of a sudden, the General came back to life and began to attack the defenseless Jose. Sophie’s screamed filled the room.
“Hohahaha. I though I told you to never let your guard down traitor.” said Dertan as he jumped onto the General.
Sophie, stunned and scared, asked, “What are you doing, Dertan?”
“Isn’t it obvious, you foolish girl, well, I suppose you should know now. I work for Riavcae.”
“But you opposed him, you created the R.O.T.A.K., you helped others, you protected me.”
“You dimwitted girl, it was all a sham. The real reason for the group is to collect those who are against Riavcae, group them together and lead them to false places so they’d be captured and tossed into torture camp for eternity. Hohahaha.”
“But you treated both me and Jose as your children.”
“That was so I could manipulate you for your special abilities. While, Jose there, was my 2nd in command, but the fool did something forbidden and thus must be executed as well as you. Now who should I kill first?”
Sophie went over to Jose and started to wake him up.
“Well that makes thing easier.” Said Dertan and he began to slam down on them, but Sophie manage to regain her strength temporary and dodge.
Jose than woke up and told Sophie, “Soph, let go of me. I deserver to die.”
“No, I won’t let you die.” She responded.
“Fine.” He said and kicked himself free and went in a different direction than Sophie. “Come at me, Dertan kill me now.”
“Pah, you are both idiots,” he said, “I will end this!” He than took the orb off of his staff and combined them together. “Now Orb of Life, combine me with the General.” The orb flashed and then a bright light covered the area. Then when the light vanished, there stood the General with what looked to be purple roots connected to him and all the roots seem to connect to the top half of Dertan who was sticking out of the top of the General and now looked like a muscular old man without his shirt and his long white beard down to where his waist was. He was covered with purple markings and his eyes changed from white to black with amber shaded pupils.
“I am now a God, and with my strength I will destroy all of you. AHAHAHAHA.”
He then materialized a purple blade and went to strike Sophie, “Now die you insolent mortal.” Sophie tried to get away, but tripped. He went to stabbed her. She closed her eyes and fear, Than blood was covering her. She opened her eyes and saw what had happen.
Jose took the blow instead of Sophie. “Ugh, you miserable brat.” The sword than vanished and blood splattered everywhere from the hole in his chest.
Sophie grabbed Jose as he feel to his knees and asked, “Why, Jose, why?” Tears began flowing in her eyes.
“You want to know why remember how he said I did something forbidden?” He asked. She nodded and trembled a little. “The forbidden act was to fall in love.”
With little strength he tried to push away from Sophie, but feel over. Sophie than laid his head on her lap. “Sophie,” he said, “I love you.” He lifted his hand and rub the side of her face. “Do you love me too?”
She cried and said, “Yes, I do very much.”
“Thank you.” he said and lifted his head to give her a kiss. “Thank you very much, So…phie.” He closed his eyes for the last time.
“AHAHAHAHA, he manage to get his last words to you, that stupid fool. Don’t worry you’ll join him so-” but he never finished that sentence for a strong burst of energy came from Sophie. Sophie picked up Jose and moved him out of the way. She looked up at Dertan and drew out her fans.
Then she vanished and than was striking Dertan so fast she seem to be everywhere at once striking every part of both the General and him at the same time. Finally she face Dertan with the orb in his chest and said, “Go to hell, you traitor.” and shatter the orb to pieces and a huge shockwave was sent through the palace as each fight stopped.
Meanwhile back in Riavcae’s office, the shockwave hit and knocked Riavcae back to the wall before the blade punctured my skin.
“What the hell was that, hmm?”
“It looks like I get a second chance at trying to kill you.”
“Yeah right, hahaha, now for my secret weapon.” He reached for a safe in the back of his office and pulled out a star shaped gun.
“Wha, you had that gun, you were at the Torture Camp?”
“What the hell are you talking about? This gun hasn‘t left the office and it hasn‘t been used yet. It is an experimental gun that make the victim feel pain that will last even beyond hell, hmm and you will be the first test subject, hmm.” He fired the gun, I quickly veered out of the way but it began to follow me. Dang, escape one hole fall in another. The thing was closing in on me. Well, I guess I get to see my life flash twice.
