With all the big games coming out this month and the next generation of consols coming up very fast, let's take a look at an old favorite of mine that was overlooked. ICO is a very ambitious puzzle-adventure title that was released as a launch title for the PS2. Unfortunatly, this beautiful game didn't get the recognision (sp?) it deserved. To all the folk who played PoP, you'll feel right at home with this game, just not as much of fighting. The gameplay is mostly this: you do a puzzle, fight some monsters, then do another puzzle, but the puzzles are clever and it's a visual masterpiece while you do it. You play as ICO, a boy who has been shunned from his village and locked into a castle because of a curse. He finds a girl who speaks in a language he doesn't know named Yorda. She is very mysterious and I'm not going to spoil anythin about her. You lead Yorda throughout the castle protecting her from beings trying to take her through a portal. Now I wasn't a big fan of Yorda, but it looks so cute watching ICO walking with Yorda and sitting on couches to save your game! Like I said before, this game is amazing to look at. I may as well go and say that this game is a work of art. I'm very surprised that a PS2 launch title can look so amazing, it ranks up there with PoP. This game is a joy to play and you won't be dissappointed. So if you don't have much money to spend on Halo 2 or GTA, spen 10 bucks (yes that's right, 10 or less!) on one of the PS2's most overlooked masterepieces
