I have come back into the office to fix your computer and I have been here
about an hour. Its now 8pm. And I'm really not happy about what I found and
the fact that I have to be here at night time away from my family fixing
this.

There were 9 Gaia windows all running- interactive which means they would
have been downloading. I also noticed a large amount of spyware on the
system which I presume must have come from there too.

These pages downloaded more than 10 times my normal usage

I spent 30 minutes trying to get through to Netspace as they have suspended
my account. In the end they are going to call me to try and work out what to
do . The outcome will be that this will cost you if they charge me another month to get my account running again.

The real issue is that you have compromised the internet system which is
vital to keep the office running. And you left the programs running over
night more than once which is not only a security issue but a costly one as
you can see with the excessive download.

And this is not a new situation. This has happened a number of times.

The question is what to do so I ask you this:

Do you really want to work here? Do you value the job and do you want it to
continue - Give me your honest answer.

A: Yes Kevin, I do want to work there, I value the things that you teach me and the new ways in which I learn both about the business in the office, the traineeship units and applying these techniques to the business, as well as how the business and politics of the business works overseas.

Did you understand that these actions can and have caused a major compromise
to my business? If yes, why did you do this?

A: No Kevin. My honest answer is no, I did not realise that these foolish actions of mine would be a compromise to the business. I honestly beleived it was a small background program, and I did not know that it was downloading, and by doing so, taking up your monthly bandwidth.

However I do understand now, and I wish very much so that I could turn back the clock. But as we both know this is impossible please punish me in the appropriate manner. If this means to garnish my wages for a week to pay the damages then so be it.
I will also understand if you write a letter of reprimand.
I understand and accept that reposibilty if it means it will get your business back on track. I will also remove the AB program from the computer so It cannot be used again in future.


Considering that we have been down this path before, there has to be some repercussions. I value you and your work here but I can't have this
situation repeating itself. It's a breach of my personal trust and not the
first time.

I am sorry to have broken your trust Kevin, as I know it has taken us a long time to get back to this point from my previous mistake. All I can say is I made an arrogant and foolish error, and I ask for your forgiveness, though I know I probably dont deserve it. I also apologise to your wife and children for taking up your valuable family time from them to correct my error of judgment.

I also apologise for the Email I sent out the other day without your approval. I did not realise at the time that this was undermining your authority. I was attempting to be independant so as not to bother you, hoping that i might be able to finish the Spirit job on my own, to ease your worries about Priority One issues... and unfortunately, I failed.
I see now that I am still far from being established enough to attempt to work without your supervision, and advice and I can see the results, of what happens when these 'experiments' of independance occur, and I realise I have yet a long way to go, and still need your guidence.

I'm sorry that it has taken me this long to learn this, and fully grasp the situation, but I understand now the difference between a work computer and a personal computer.

I will not use the Business' office computer for personal use again without your prior approval - eg : you specify that I need to access my, or your hotmail account to access specific email realted to the business.
