Yep, every time I see a new place open up, I see it as an opportunity to have a new place to grab a bite to eat. Sometimes it's good, other times it's "meh" (and that's being generous). This new place is called ABC Cafe, which is located around Fort Hamilton Parkway (in Brooklyn, NY for non-NYers) and it's a Hong Kong-styled cafe that serves typical Hong Kong-style fare--this is important as there's a difference between Hong Kong fare and other Chinese regional fare. For example, in addition to congee, rice dishes, noodle dishes, and other usual dishes found in other Chinese restaurants, there's also stuff like sphagetti, sandwiches, egg dishes, and some other western food items, all done in a more Chinese-style.
Best part is, no item on the menu by itself costs more than $5.50. That coupled with the fact that the food actually tastes real good makes this a place I'm willing to head back to again, so if you happen to be in the Fort Hamilton Parkway area of Brooklyn, you should definitely give ABC Cafe a try. biggrin
