The forgotten journal Most of the things written in here don't pertain to my life anymore and if they were real pages, I'd burn them and forget about it. But nothing is ever quite "deleted" from the internet, so here it remains.

Oni Ryoushi
Okay…. This is something I worked on a while back. It's based off of Shane's story, only I twisted it to my own ends. I'm only posting it to see what everyone thinks….. if I have enough supporters who like the story. I'll post chapter 2. If not…. Then I won't. So… Hah!!!!!

Oni Ryoushi

"This is what evil does to a person. It strips them of their humanity and leaves them to deal with the insanity of the curse it has chosen to inflict… Without anything that drives us to do what's right, without the humanity, we tumble into the chaos of the foulness within ourselves. At first, it seems that we can stop the fall by doing what we know is right. The will to do the just thing is gone, however, and we let the darkness overshadow the light within. It consumes us slowly until we are nothing but the wickedness from inside. It is then that there is no hope. It is then that we are supposed to die."

Chapter 1

I am going to die.

These were the first words that passed through my head as I looked up into her eyes. I was trapped in a corner made by a large stone slab of concrete side of a nice office building and a tall chain-link fence that kept people out of the residential area behind it. It was nearly midnight and no one was awake to see what this maniac was about to do to me. Screaming would be useless because by the time anyone saw me, I'd be dead.

Her eyes were like fire, burning a hole through my soul. She was beautiful in a frightening way with black hair with a streak of bright red in the very front. Her eyes were a green that tore your attention away from everything else. She was about as tall as I was, but towered over me as I shrunk down to the ground. She was thin enough to show the outlines of her bones, as if she hadn't eaten in over a month. This person was like hungry lioness, and I had been the unfortunate one to cross it's path.

"Hello, darling." The vampire whispered seductively. "It was nice of you to show up in my time of need, child. You have no idea how long it's been since I last had a meal like this."

She ran her fingers through my hair that was the exact same shade as her own. Once she had gone down the entire length, she caressed the skin at the base of my neck. I could feel her breathing quicken as she caught the feel of my pulse. I didn't move, knowing if I did, she could attack.

"Ah… such a strong pulse!" She moaned as she traced my vein. She was in a trance, with her eyes rolling in the back of her head. I kept still, biding my time.

Suddenly, she stopped and put her hand in her jeans pocket. She pulled out a small razor blade and held it up in the dim light of the alleyway. The metal gleamed menacingly, sending a distinct thrill as fear began to race through me. She then grabbed my wrist and turned it so the vein that twisted in my arm was clearly visible.

"This will only hurt a little." A small, breathy voice issued from the vampires as she brought the blade to my wrist. She held it still for a moment when it first touched my shin, waiting for a reaction. I did nothing.

Smiling a twisted smile that revealed her too-long incisors, she sliced through my skin with the sharpened edge. After a tiny cut, she removed her weapon and waited until a small amount of blood came forth from the wound. She brought my now bleeding wrist to her mouth and took a deep breath. She let out a sigh as she slowly breathed out.

I knew I should fight back. Her mouth was dangerously close to my blood and in a second she could place her mouth on my wrist and suck me dry. I began to wonder about how to get away. Maybe I should scream, just in case.

"You, my dear, smell delectable. I cannot wait to taste you." The creature whispered, its breath quickening again. I realized that I was in trouble and tried to get away, but it was no use. She held me too tight.

"Don't leave yet. I won't hurt you." She said. Then, as if to prove it, she placed her tongue to my cut and began to lap it slowly. Warmth spread down my arm at every stroke of her tongue. Soon, the heat was all over my body, relaxing me. I sighed in contentment.

She finished lapping up the blood on my arm and shuddered. "You do taste good. Far better than the food I've been forced to live on. You are definitely a treat to enjoy slowly."

Even in my bliss, I realized what she meant. She wasn't just going to suck my blood out. She was going to draw it out, creating a slow and painful death for me. I screamed.

Stunned, she tried to quiet me down. It didn't work. Soon, I heard footsteps as someone was running to my hollering. She heard it too and bit into my neck.

This was nothing like the moment before. It was like ice was replacing my blood, silencing my cries for help. I gasped for air as she sucked harder, causing my trachea to close at each swallow. Blackness swirled my mind, distorting images. With the rest of my remaining strength, I gave a soft cry for help. The footsteps I heard were closer now and getting closer by the second. Before I let the darkness pull me under, I heard a distant voice yell stop. Then, all went dark.
