i'm bored, what can i say? so i decided to just write about this...so yeah...have fun reading =) kinda fact and non-fact type thing...
First, I'm proudly pro-life. now i know most kids get pretty pissed off when their parents make choices for them, don't deny it. and most of those are somewhat small choices, right? now suppose a parent made the choice of not even letting their kid live.
statement 1- the fetus is just a part of the pregnent women's body
fact- a body part is defined by the common genetic code it shares with the rest of the body. The preborn's genetic code diferes from his/her mother's.
statement 2- the fetus is a potential human being, not an actual one; it's like a blue-print, not a house.
fact- a fetus is a person at a particular stage of development, much like a toddle or adolescent. the fact is, something that's nonhuman doesn't become human by getting older and bigger.
statement 3- the preborn isn't a person with meaningful like, it can't even thing and is less advanced than an animal
fact- the early stage of human life is as meaningful as any other stage. but if we listen to pro-abortionists who based human vaule on size and intelligence, then we'd also have to dehumanize other members of society: people who suffer from dwarfism, the mentally handi-capped, etc.
statement 4- what if the baby is unwanted, or happened on accident? if it's born, it'll porbably have a terrible life.
fact- since human life is valuable, it's wanted. a pregnancy may be unwanted but there's no such thing as an unwanted baby, many couples are waiting to adopt a baby. and if we exclude all human beings that are simply not wanted, than anybody is at risk; AIDS victims, the elderly, derelicts, etc.
conclusion- every abortion stops a beating heart and stops measurable brain waves. americans kill nearly 1 million pre-born babies a year through abortion. that's more that 2,700 every day, or 1 every 30 seconds.
Hitler killed nearly 6 million Jews, but since 1973, americans have exterminated more that 44 million preborn babies.
and just because the elections coming up, i'm just going to say, mccain wants to stop abortions, and obama wants to pass a law saying that any baby who somehow survives abortion should just be killed anyways. there are nurses who hold babies that have been born, but are not wanted, and all they can do is hold them and comfort them until they die, they can't feed them, or anything.
btw, This hurricane thing, i think it's Hanna..?, is making it rain sooo much, i think all the flowers in my yard drowned D=. Lots of wind too...
