Jordan hurried to keep with Ashley’s long strides; he was now able to see that she was nearly six feet tall when standing perfectly straight. Her hair no longer seemed to be as long and dead as he had remembered it; it was now pulled back into a much more practical ponytail, revealing even more of her strange luminescent green eyes. Her shaking had stopped, and she was now steady, her gaze was piercing and Jordan could feel her eyes boring into his very soul.
