Well, today was kind of a bad day in Japanese. All the studying I did last night kind of went out the window. I couldn't think in the eastern frame of mind needed to comprehend Japanese. Which is bad. When Yamamoto-sensei pulled up some examples of other languages I sat there very confused. One of them was spanish. I looked and I understood just about everything and when she started asking me questions in Japanese about spanish I was like...ano...
One of them basically translated into 'Do you understand spanish?' My reply wasn't quite what she was looking for, as I told her, 'I understand.' She looked at me very confused and she was like, 'You understand spanish? That's not correct.' I then told her, 'But I do understand!' At that point she just laughed at me and left me to my fuzzy confusion. So, more studying tonight.... sweatdrop
