Wait, for those of you who dont know my school held an awards ceremony and i was asked to perform some songs. So just to give you a run down of yesterday, i'll start from the beginning.
8.13 AM: I woke up to the sounds of my annoying alarm which reminds me i need to get a new one (mental note, when i'm home look for a new alarm clock xd ) and in all honesty, it was the normal Wednesday school day. The weather was terrible and seeing as it was pouring down, i wasn't looking forward to the day ahead. So it was the usual routine, i wake up, get changed into a black skirt, blue long sleeve blouse, black blazer and black tie and i go to have breakfast.
9.30 AM: ICT was going a touch slower than usual as Dan our teacher wasn't in, so we had a sub who was an idiot. I mean she did not know what she was doing or what work to set us so for half an hour we were sitting at a computer doing nothing. I know there was a frag fest match in Halo 2 but that was about it. Fortunately there was a message for me, Tai, Sora and T.K. to go and see Kris the music teacher.
9.45 AM: Now in getting the message, we were not told the fact that Kris would not be in his music room as he had to supervise the setting up of the instruments for that night so we had to wait for 15 minutes until he arrived. It wasn't that bad though, we saw a sneak peak at the agenda and found out a couple of things. The first thing i thought was: EEP! I was the first act on so at 6:30 PM i would start singing. Anyway Kris finally showed up and we found out the details. We would sing, then go back to our table, if we got an award then we would collect it, and then go back up and sing. Everything else was the same, we would be in formal clothing and we should relax for the evening.
FAST FORWARD A COUPLE OF HOURS
2.30 PM: As its the last week of term we were given the afternoon off to do what ever the hell we wanted to so with that in mind me and my good friend Sora decided to wonder over to Marks and Spencers (a really nice clothes and food store) and we had a look around. I still needed a dress for the evening and so did Sora so we spent an hour shopping and we both found something.
3.50 PM: I was in my dorm room and just chilling out, speaking to friends and having a drink. I let Sora do my make up seeing as thats what she wants to be when she's older so with that done all i had to do was get changed when the time came. Here's a similar view of my dress:
5.50 PM: I was changed and i was in the school hall setting everything i needed up, joined by Tai who looked amazing in his dinner suit, black shirt and blue tie and he was joined by Sora who was dressed in a chinese style dress. A lot of parents were turning up and getting ready outside, we had our picture taken of all four of us and we looked great.
6.30 PM: It had begun, i had took centre stage behind the large red curtain, i listened as Kris introduced the evening and i felt really nervous, i mean really nervous. Sora was ready with her violin and T.K. was standing by the drums. It was a weird thing seeing T.K. standing by the drums instead of sitting down and i gotta admit, he looked good in a suit. Well the curtain was raised and it began, we did our number which was The Voice by Celtic Woman (see below)

7.00 PM: We started our second number and this time Tai was on stage with the accoustic and we performed the song: The Islander by Nightwish. We were all more confident, yet Tai just stood with a calm nerve, he had done this before, he was born for the life of a rock star and to perform music. I had won 2 awards so far, Tai won 2, Sora won 1 and T.K. was yet to win an award which was difficult, but we got them for similar reasons. I had won the most commitment and best pianist for Music, Tai had won best guitarist and best live performance, Sora had won best digital photography. Anyway, here's the original Islander:

7.30 PM: Our last song of the night, Never Ending Story by Within Temptation and we were happy it was coming to an end, after the song there was 2 more awards to be handed out and then its over. T.K. had finally won an award, 2 to be precise, commitment to Media and best Film Coursework. Well we had a good night, i can see why Tai won best live performance, he was amazing. 8.00 PM: The night had ended, i had won Foreign Exchange Student who has shown the most promise and with 3 awards, i'm really happy. Well at the moment i was in my dorm, i hadn't changed yet but i was really comfortable in my dress so i wasn't in a rush. I had been selling some drinks and chocolate and had already made a killing. Anyway, i'm off.
