I finished my "meatloaf" quickly and ran up the steps before Cam or Mom caught up to me. Once I was in my room, I quickly packed everything I'd need. I packed 5 day's worth of clothes, another pair of shoes, my favorite plushie, Jamal, and a few books. I cramed this into a suitcase without thinking, and ran down stairs. I ran to the frigde, and took out enough food for 5 days. I put this into a plastic bag. I ran back upstairs, still unnoticed by any one, and grabbed the suitcase. I opened the window and jumped out, I soon found that this was definatly NOT a good idea. My butt sore from the fall, I ran off to the neighbor's house. My best friend, Myra came to the door.
"Hi, Sairia!" She said.
"Hi, can I stay here for a couple of days?"
"Why?"
"My parents are moving and I don't want them to get me involved."
"So you're saying you're gonna ditch your parents."
"Wouldn't you?"
"Actually, yes. But I have to ask my parents first."
"Okay, just hurry, I don't want mine to find me."
"Hold on." Myra walked back into the house. I could hear muffled voices coming from the inside. I couldn't exactly understand what they were saying but it didn't matter to me.
"Well... They say only if you promise not more for five days." She said when she finally came back to the door.
"Perfect!!! I'd only packed for five."
She led me inside and I told them all that if my parents look for me, don't tell them I was here.
"But... Why?" Her father asked.
"Because, every year we move from one state to the next, and I'm tired of it." I replied.
"But they love--" Myra's mom piped up.
"No, they don't I'm the best one and that's the only reason they like me."
"Best what?" Myra this time.
But I was already down the hall to Myra's room.
