I knew it was coming,
But It was still a suprise.
The prophet died yesterday.
He was such a cool guy.
so funny,
and he did a lot for the world.
even outside of the church.
I will always remember when I participated in Day of Celebration.
And he lit the light wand,
And then walked through the crowd of Missionaries
and they all light their light wands when he passed.
and then they walked up into the stadium,
and when a missionary passed your row, your row was then allowed to light the light wand
I still have mine.
Hanging on the wall.
I know it's kinda sappy.
But really, it was a gift from the Prophet, that light.
And then we sang "The Spirit of God." For him
I've never heard it sung better.
It's amazing what happens when you put
Millions of teenagers in a stadium
And have them sing and Dance
And then bring in a beloved leader.
It was the first time he had ever been cheered for.
Usually we stand reverently when the Prophet comes in the room.
But It was impossible not to cheer.
