knock...knock...knock...
Atem stirred in his sleep after hearing the soft and hesitant knocking on the otherside of the door. He had fallen asleep after Jou left the dorm waiting for Yugi's return. Opening the door, he discovered his hikari on the otherside with a slightly saddened expression.
"Are you alright, Yugi?" Yugi nodded to him and walked passed him into the dorm. 'Is he still upset?'
"No. i just wanted to clear my mind a bit," Yugi sat on the couch and looked up at him before continuing, "I say Anzu when I was coming back here."
"Jou told me what happened with her and the rest of our group," he too followed suit, "I can't believe she'd do that. Talk about desperate."
Yugi allowed himself to softly laugh at his amusement of her desperation. Forgetting his guilt, just for the moment, he moved closer to his love and rested his head on Atem's lap.
Absentmindedly, Atem moved Yugi's blonde bangs out of his eyes. Locking his side of communication for a split second he thought, 'Two more days until that global celebration. I remember Yugi talking about it before, called Valentine's Day.' He bent slightly to plant a soft kiss on Yugi's lips. 'Now that I've confessed, I want to do something special for him.'
"Want to go to bed. Waiting for you have had me realize that this isn't the best place to fall asleep on." Yugi smiled sleepily at him before replying, "Okay. But I don't feel like moving," he looked up at him cutely before asking, "Carry me?"
All the former pharaoh could do was smile at him and comply to his request. He carried the half asleep Yugi their bedroom.

"Hey, Atem! Where's Yugs?" Jou sat next to him in their last class for the day. There's only two minutes before the bell rang and Yugi's known to be very punctual.
"I'm not sure. I just hope he's alright," he looked at the door for a good minute expecting to see Yugi pas through the door. Atem turned his attention back to Jou and questioned, "What would you get for someone important to you?"
"Huh? That's pretty damn random, don't ya think?" Atem kept his gaze on him expectantly. Jou pouted slightly and thoguht for a second, "I don't know. You're thinking of getting somethin' for Yug' but I don't know what I'd get for someone of that importance."
"Have you ever spent a Valentine's Day with someone?" Atem questioned with amuzment.
"Hey, you shouldn't be talking! You're the one asking me what I would get a lover over here!" Atem chuckled at his actions but stopped when he heard the bell ring. 'Where the hell is Yugi?! Yugi, can you here me?!' Yugi had his side shut of again.
"Jou, something's not right. Yugi isn't here and he's not responded on his side." His worry was very apparent in his voice.
"Let's just hope. Try not to think about that now thought, 'kay?" Atem turned his attention back to the front of the class.

'I didn't know it was so late!' Yugi shoved the puzzle back in the box and rushed into his and Atem's room to get his stuff for his fourth class. He had spent the lunch break to search the millenium puzzle for answers to his heart's questions.
'All I wanted to do is see how Atem's time was in the afterlife. I'm not bitter or anything but I just wanted to see if he was as miserable as I was without him.' He walked back to the door of the dorm and pulled out his key to lock the door.
Yugi walked through the halls saw Anzu at her locker putting in the same bag he saw yesterday. He wanted to question her but chose against it not wanting to talk to the girl who wants to still be Atem's.
Walking into the class, he felt all eyes on him. He walked up the stadium like steps and went to sit next to Atem near the back of the class. Atem looked over at him waiting for an explanation but got none. 'Where have you been?'
"It's nothing," Yugi whispered and left it as that.

"I'm going to be out alright, Yugi?" Atem announced at the door. Yugi came out of the shower with the towel wrapped around his midsection, "Okay..." before he could continue, Atem left Yugi in the dorm alone.
THe former pharaoh planned on going to downtown Domino to get something for tomorrow that he was sure Yugi would like. 'I'm just praying to Ra that he likes it.' He's feet took him to a jewelry store and without thinking he walked in.
"Welcome. How can I help you?" Atem looked up slightly surprised, 'I guess I should get something in here.' He looked around comfused at the selections, "Do you have any amethyst gems?"
"Amethyst? I've never heard that request," the man walked over to him from behind the counter and said, "We have amethyst but what piece would you like to buy? We can have amethyst stones fitted if you want?"
"That's exactly what I want to get done," he pointed to a necklace that had the word 'taken' displayed proudly in silver, "I want that one but I want to amethyst stones on each side so it can be a bit special."
"That's going to cost alot, sir."
"Okay, anything for someone who's mine. How much?"
"Two grand." Atem handed him his credit card and was told that it'd be ready in about an hour.

Atem snuck into bed with his school uniform off only left in his black boxers. Yugi turned to face him in bed, "Where were you?" The younger one cuddled closer to him being embraced by his warmth.
"Just go to sleep. There's nothing to worry about." He kissed Yugi on his forehead before falling asleep waiting for tomorrow.
