God, I may not always be a person
of righteous worship, but I've always been a good person,
one who loves others first, asks for little.
Well, now I'm asking.
Can you mend these broken wings,
this jaded heart, so I have it in me to face the world
with all its problems with a real smile on my face?
Able to face my friends, my peers and look them in the eye
without backing down? Able to take my enemies head on
without some crutch? I wanna prove I need no excuse
for my weaknesses.
I wanna be strong.
I wanna be the kind of person I would admire.
I wanna be
able to inspire others and give them strength
when they're down.
I'm tired of being useless.
God, if I've earned a gift, give me a purpose.
