He found her lying on the ground Motionless as a stone statue She fell years before Covering the land in shadows as she did No one ever knew the reason why But no one dared to ask Her castle became shabby and worn The servents still as stone People feared it Believed it as a curse
Years went by No one stirred And rumors spread Some said that she'd never wake That the land would die in time Others said a kiss was all it took Would someone be that brave? Of course The neglected prince that no one knew He would do it, that is true
He was the son of a lost line of royality Practically a nobody This was his chance A chance to regain his royal name He mounted his steed and rode off into the night THe villagers left behind shook their heads "The fool shall never make it" "He has ridden to his death" They doubted his courage He reveled in his dreams
He battled the elements ant the terrain But still he faught forward He refused to back down on his dream Save the castle Save the girl Regain his name Live happily ever after He was the fool No one lives happily His doom was coming upon him
He reached the castle tired and worn But a light kindled in him A light to press on He entered the castle and stood in awe Though years had passed Though times were hard The castle still had glory A glory that was littered with unmoving servents He braced forward to the tower His goal nearly complete
He entered her room and found her on the floor Her skin was white like marble Her hair black as night His mind reeled with old folktales She could wake with a kiss He knelt beside her Embracing his path He leaned Forward with his eyes closed THis was it, his ticket to life His lips finally met with hers
What was supposed to happen, didn't He pulled back from her with a smile But she did not move Defeated and lost her turned to leave THough he didn't know what was in store His vision blurred and his heart raced He lost his footing and fell to the floor Slowly, his life slipped away Poison claiming his soul Now the girl wakes up once more
She smiled the smile of pure evil Triumphant yet again She claimed another no good fool A young man who denied the rumors Those rumors were true The servents were really of stone The girl wanted young mens' souls She pulled him close and kissed him again Draining his soul from his shell Feasting on true life, as it were
After her feast of flesh and souls She'll fall once more which is her role Again she'll lie and wait for him Another man who is a fool No one will listen to the truth They'd rather follow their own ideas THe land of her castle will never die Her victim toll will continue to grow She is neither angel nor devil But the Princess with the Poison Kiss
