• Sometimes I feel like rain
The patter of drops on a grey day
Silent to the footsteps which fight to out run them
Cursed by lips and asked to leave

    Sometimes I feel like rain
The wind carries me to places unknown
To free fall to the ground below
    And explode in a flurry

    Sometimes I feel like rain
I bring life to the plants around
Become the springs that run to lakes and feed the oceans
Feel in touch with every creature

    Sometimes I feel like rain
Part of something so much bigger
Brothers of lighting and thunder, sisters of destruction
Anger and misery is all we know

    Sometimes I feel like rain
    Relief from the burning sun
Or its partner of the greater design, the miracle of light
    Colouring the sky for all

    Sometimes I feel like rain
    But it’s not always sad
