-
It pierces me, right in the back.
Whenever I am lost in despair -
The world looks so cold and black.
I look back, with a lifeless stare.
Wondering about why it's me;
And not somebody else here.
Misery and pity is all I feel,
As I hide myself in utter fear.
I've always been very unique,
Hence, it isolates me from joy.
My loneliness is my mystique...
It leaves me very woeful and coy.

- Title: Alone
- Artist: Penultimate Penance
- Description: A poem I created for a dramatic script last year (2013). This poem is NOT about myself, it's just that I explored the issue of loneliness for this particular assessment...and I somehow, this piece came together very easily.
