I never knew you'd end up this way
Thought it'd be a different time and place
Had a strong life going
Rapping, girlfriends, and everyone knows... you
Until they shoved 'it" in your face
You were addicted
Had a life, a job, a car
And now, you're dead
You couldn't stop
You were robbed
Of your life
By such a simple
Problem...
Baby photos
Everybody loved you
They wouldn't guess
They wouldn't know
And now you're through
Honor roll
Such a bright boy, they said
But then it's gone
Walking off
Storming out
Yelling, screaming all loud
I was young
But I knew
What it's about!
You were addicted
Trust, and friends
And now, you're dead
You couldn't stop
It wouldn't end
I remember asking for you
Homework was hard
My skull is thick
I couldn't get it through
You were smart
You were liked
You fell apart
Worked in a restaurant
Trying to get by!
Oh, you were addicted
No life, lost your job, and your car
Now, you're dead
One with the stars
Will you be missed?
No, if only you hadn't done this...

- Title: Addicted
- Artist: Misao Harada 1
- Description: I wrote this poem when I was in my room and I heard my grandmother on the phone crying. I have known that my older brother, who is twenty-two, is addicted to drugs. I imagined myself at his funeral... I wasn't crying though. It turns out, he didn't overdose, he actually went to a place where they help him get off it!! So happy for him. Proud to show you Addicted.
