• The sound of missiles
blow the minds of those who hide.
As they wait in the corner
    for this war to subside.
They wait all day and night,
for the end of this cruel fight.
    But they all know somewhere
    no one is safe,
    no where.

    One man held his heart.
    But also held his gun.
    To fight for his freedom,
for his home, for his loved one.
    He waited for the day,
for him to go home and say,
    It is over, we won,
Our new life has just begun.

    But sadly as life goes,
    not everyone can hold,
the heart they promised to keep,
    to keep safe and warm.
    As the ammunition continuesly blows,
    the bullets start flying,
    and start creating holes.

    Holes deep inside,
    in those who are wounded,
    in those who have died.
As red begins to drip on the floor,
that one man dropped his gun,
and his life was no more.

    He called out her name,
    and said, "I am sorry."
    As he closed his eyes,
    The sky went starry.
