Pride, Or Not...Really

I know I have to forgive.
I really understand, I do.

But you would never say
"It's okay," If I did it to you.

And it's expected by my friends,
to say a couple things.

We make emends
and be happy again.

But you, I believe you should at least have the pride
to on my better parts, reside.

I figured, that is what you are for.
To boost me up higher than ever before.

If I myself have no confidence in myself,
it is for you have always had the "wise words" on the shelf.

I like it. It really hit home, and it reminds me of my sister. Sometimes she acts like she's my best friend, then she pushes me down again. If I ever did what she does to me, well, that's just unexcusable. But yea, I really liked the poem.
