It's just a little apology

We've all done things we aren't proud of, this is true
that's exactly why I wrote this to you
It started out bad and has gotten worse
but perhaps we can apply the inverse
I will try to fix what is broken
and amend the misspoken
What I can only hope for,
is that you don't go and ignore
but instead, read, forgive, and accept
yes, that's the hope I dream for
