She stares at me.
She sees my
face
She scowls
I'm so terrifying.
Remnants of my scorched past
litter my complexion like
dead bodies on a battlefield
I'm so worthless.
the Sun itself is
shamed
to cast its rays upon me.
Tears drip down her cheeks
she can't believe how
much
she
doubts.
