Please give me some reason,
To why things are like this.
Help me understand
Your crazy logic.
You've built me up
Just to tear me down.
You won't admit it,
But it's true.
We had good times,
I listened to your cries.
As society broke you down through the years,
I wiped away all your tears.
I've tried to help you understand,
Reached out with a helping hand,
I would've trusted you with my life,
While you never really cared.
All my effort was in vain,
And you're driving me insane.
No matter how much I try,
You won't ever leave my mind.
I tried to fit the role I was told to play,
But I grew tired of playing your silly charade.
So you can't blame me this time,
You tried making me something I'm not.
Even though I tried so hard,
It all fell apart.
Despite my efforts,
I was never really accepted.
You stabbed me in the back,
That is true,
But what was most damaged...
Was my heart.
I never really belonged to you,
You seemed to believe I did.
I wasn't your dog,
But I was treated like so.
You say it's my fault?
You can't.
Or are you really just as fake...
As everybody believes?
Now I can see
I've been discarded,
Thrown out,
And trampled on like I'm nothing.
Do you think I'm hurt?
No, but I was.
I've learned since then,
And I've grown stronger.
You can't touch me.
You can't hurt me.
How could you,
When you can't even look me in the eye?
Thanks for the trouble,
It strengthened me.
One thing's left to say...
Have a nice life.

- I struggled to read this because its on a subject so overdone I usually pass by these types of poems. But you did a good job of writing a stereotypical poem, congratulations.

I think its good.
Free verse with a AABC style rhyme scheme in the second third of the poem. It goes back to free verse for the last third of the poem.
You have talent Americhu. Keep at it! - Report As Spam
