Walking down the city streets
The nature around cold and foreboding
The wind angrily cuts threw me like a sword
How I long for the streets of the small town
Where the wind is an old friend and a sworn enemy
Where nature around is warm and welcoming
Every dawn I wanted to see the small mountains
and every dawn I only see soulless buildings
Every night I wanted to see the ebony sky I've known
and every night I only see the lights of the city
Oh how I long to see my home again
No city nor state can replace
How I long for those Arkansas nights
That no one can imitate
How I long for night...
