Society

You stripped away my individuality
You took away who I was
Thanks to you, I’ll never be me
I’m doing what everyone does.

You washed away my sanity
I’ll never be the same
You took away my voice
So I could play your little game.

You turned me into something
I never wanted to be
You picked me apart
Despite my every plea.

I no longer think I’m beautiful
All my views have changed
I’m no longer a strong little girl
My thoughts have been rearranged

Society has made me someone I’m not
What have I become?
Society has torn me apart
Made me become numb.
