To the man in the corner of the room:
Why do you watch us so expectantly?
Are you, second by second, seeking gloom?
Shooing audience that wholeheartedly?
You sigh and wait for upcoming down-poor
While hiding hope to get things so alright
In the life you have drudged often before.
But you want to see change? To see new light?
Maybe there’s hope for you yet, maybe you
Can’t change everyone else, but you can change
The way you long and wait for your life’s cue,
“The world’s a stage” and theater is strange…
You’re the actor of your own life: the star…
Do not watch your own play from so afar.

- Title: You're the actor, not us.
- Artist: Gregory Gibbens
- Description: A sonnet I had to do for a class. I was wanting some opinions on it before I turn it in. How does it sound? Flow well?
