• The brave men of Ireland are well known
    But lend me your ears
And I’ll tell you the tale of the brave Patricia Black
She fought as gallantly as the men of 1916
No one could have guess what she was doing
As a secret volunteer for the PIRA
As a soldier in the Belfast Brigade
She moved to London under the tale of Belfast

The heroes of Ireland are many
Yet few can compare to the brave Patricia Black
    From the bravest fighting force
In life and death she serves the Provos

In their bases the Brits tend to hide
When on November 15th 1991 they where to come out
The call could not be ignored
For their fallen comrades the Irish could not stand by silently
So they called out two volunteers, Patricia and Frank Ryan

The heroes of Ireland are many
Yet few can compare to the brave Patricia Black
    From the bravest fighting force
In life and death she serves the Provos

    They where prepared for days
Knowing full well of the dangers ahead
    They prepped their bomb
    Went to deliver it
    Then their weapon betrayed them

The heroes of Ireland are many
Yet few can compare to the brave Patricia Black
    From the bravest fighting force
In life and death she serves the Provos

    They died unselfishly
    Fighting for freedom
    And for their homeland
    As volunteers for their country
